Yangpai bonsai was made in the Tang and Song dynasties, and to the Qing Dynasty, Yangzhou widely built gardens and Daxing bonsai, saying that "every family has a garden, every household raises bonsai", and formed a school. In 1949, Yangpai bonsai had a further development. In early 1950, Yangzhou transferred 36 pots of pine and cypress bonsai to Zhongnanhai, Beijing. In 1973, Yangpai bonsai and Lingnan School, Sichuan School, Su School and Shanghai style bonsai were listed as the five major schools of national tree stump bonsai by the Garden and Greening Bureau of the State Administration of Urban Construction.
Yangpai bonsai has excellent skills, especially pine, cypress, elm and poplar (melon seeds and yellow poplar), which are hierarchical, neat and stable, rich in meticulous and decorative local characteristics and Han culture, and enjoy a good reputation at home and abroad. The bonsai on display in Heyuan this time is mainly Yangpai eight landscapes.

"October Frost leaves are as Red as Fire" during the National Day, the red maple in Heyuan opened one after another. When you come to Heyuan to enjoy the red leaves, picking up a fallen leaf will have its own unique beauty! Walk into the garden, you can see sweet-scented osmanthus covered with branches, bursts of fragrance coming, people relaxed and happy.
Brief introduction of he Yuan:
Heyuan, located at No. 66 Xuningmen Street, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is a national key cultural relic protection unit and one of the first 20 key parks in the country. He Yuan, also known as "Ji Wuthering Heights", was built by he Zhizhu during the reign of Guang Xu in the Qing Dynasty. The original site of he Garden is the ancient garden during the reign of Qianlong, known as Shuanghuai Garden. Celebrities who have lived in Heyuan include Huang Binhong, a famous master of traditional Chinese painting, who has come to Yangzhou six times and lives on the first floor of the horseback building. Mr. Zhu Qianhua, a famous writer, has lived in Heyuan for more than five years, and his former residence is on the second floor of the horseback building.
The main feature of Heyuan is to give full play to the function and charm of corridor architecture. 1500 meters compound corridor, Heyuan tourist attractions and Heyuan tourist attractions are the only wonderful landscapes in Chinese gardens. Left and right diversion, high and low hook-ups, mountains and water, enter the house, form an omni-directional three-dimensional landscape and all-weather sightseeing space, give full play to the beauty of the change of Chinese garden art and the beauty of extending in all directions, known as the embryonic form of overpass. In 1988, together with Geyuan, it was awarded the third batch of "National key Cultural relics Protection Units" by the State Council.
He Yuan is known as "the first Garden in the late Qing Dynasty". Among them, the Pebble Mountain House is the work of Master Shi Tao, which can be called the only book in the world.

National Intangible Cultural Heritage-- Yangpai Bonsai skill
Yang style bonsai is one of the five major schools of tree stump bonsai in China. It has a long history and the most distinctive features.
