Ji Peilong Su Pai Bonsai Art Exhibition opens
On the morning of June 11, jointly sponsored by the New Bureau of Culture and Culture of Changshu City and the people of Dongbang Town, and sponsored by Changshu Library and Ji Peilong Bonsai Art Studio, "there is Truth in the scene-Ji Peilong Su Pai Bonsai Art Exhibition" opened in Changshu Library.
Changshu flower and tree cultivation and bonsai art have a long history, according to relevant data, it began before the Tang Dynasty and flourished in the Ming Dynasty. Sun Yuanxiang, a scholar in Changshu in the Qing Dynasty, once wrote: "Seven waters flow incense through Guo, and the mid-levels fly green into the city." Most of the wine is brewed according to the festival, and it is planted everywhere regardless of the money. " In the bonsai world of the whole country, when it comes to Su-style bonsai, it will talk about the regular bonsai style of "six sets, three sets, one knot top". To be exact, the regular bonsai style of "six sets, three towers, and one knot top" should be called "Changshu", because its birthplace is Changshu.
In 1986, Ji Peilong took Li Tongsen, a veteran artist in Changshu bonsai world, as his teacher. His studious spirit and down-to-earth work style moved Mr. Li Tongsen. Ji Peilong starts from the selection of bonsai materials, soil, cultivation of seedlings, watering, pruning, management, and so on, slowly and carefully. In 1994, the old man taught him the modeling techniques of regular bonsai with "six sets, three towers and one knot", and tied up a hammer and elm tree that Ji Peilong thought was useless into a bonsai of "six sets, three tortoises and one knot". Through the master's advice and his own intelligence and diligence, his bonsai knowledge, aesthetics and production level have been continuously improved. In 1987, Ji Peilong prepared for the establishment of Changshu Flower Bonsai Association, and established Changshu Ziyuan Bonsai Art Company in 1992. From then on, he not only devoted himself to the cause of bonsai, but also deeply studied the history and present situation of Changshu bonsai.
As a representative inheritor of Su style bonsai, Ji Peilong not only created more and better Changshu bonsai, but also offered a course of "Yushan bonsai" at Changshu Geriatric University to teach Changshu bonsai modeling skills. He said: "it is duty-bound to promote Changshu bonsai culture and inherit Changshu bonsai skills."
As one of the series of activities to welcome the 10th Chinese "Cultural Heritage Day" in Changshu, the exhibition is of positive significance to the dissemination and popularization of non-heritage knowledge. The exhibition will run from June 11 to June 19.

Su style bonsai technique needs innovation and development
At present, Su Sect's bonsai skills are inherited in a single way, and the number of inheritors is also very limited. For example, one provincial and two municipal representative inheritors only have one apprentice, and it is also unstable.
