Su-style bonsai is one of the five major schools of bonsai in China, which has a long history, which began in the Tang Dynasty in the Song Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Tang Bai Juyi, Song Sushi, Fan Chengda, Ming Wen Zhengming, Wen Zhenheng, Qing Hu Huanzhang, recent Zhou Lianjuan and Zhu Zian all contributed to the development of Su School bonsai art.

The charm of Su-style bonsai lies in putting potted plants above gardening, not only in modeling skills, but also in bonsai creation to express emotion, send scenery to Tossi, and understand the philosophy of life. As the saying goes, "floating life is like a dream."

In modeling design, he respected nature as beauty, took the spirit of heaven and earth, and was deeply influenced by Wu culture. Su-style bonsai has such an important position that it is inseparable from the spiritual mirror of the literati who like to live in seclusion, borrow scenery to express their feelings and be at peace with the world. In particular, the perfect match between the modern literati Mr. Zhou Lianjuan and the horticulturist Mr. Zhu Zi'an raised the Su style bonsai to a new height and made the Su style bonsai famous at home and abroad. His works have a natural state, mixed with Tiancheng, and mixed with literati flavor, see poetry in the scene, both spirit, shape and rhyme and endless aftertaste!

In recent years, with the improvement of aesthetic taste, potted plants are becoming more and more popular as an indispensable part of interior decoration. Under this background, Su-style bonsai emerged from the blue, and a number of highly skilled young bonsai cultivation artists emerged, which laid the foundation for the development and inheritance of Su-style bonsai.

Fleeting development, inheritance of Soviet-style bonsai is the purpose of this activity. Except for the works of Zhou Sliangjuan and Zhu Zian, the rest are provided by Mr. Shen Xiangzhong, the owner of the Su style bonsai heritage project in Xiangcheng District, Suzhou, and his friends, many of which have been cultivated for many years. Many works won big prizes at the national bonsai exhibition.
