Basic skills of flower pruning and what preparations should be made before flower seeds are sown

1. Get rid of diseased branches, staggered branches and overlapping branches, so that the interior of the plant is easier to accept light, improve air circulation, and is conducive to the healthy growth of the plant.

2. The flowering parts of many woody flowers are new branches of one or two years old, and the old branches of three or four years old must be cut off.

3. Some plants that bloom at the top of the shoot should be cut after flowering in order to continue to grow flower branches and then blossom. This kind of flowers such as rose, jasmine, crape myrtle, geranium and so on.

4. After pruning, the seedlings can form 3-4 branches, and each branch can form a spherical crown with 9-12 branches.

5. The cutting mouth should be 1-1.5 cm above the bud, and the orientation of the bud should be selected in order to adjust the direction and position of the new branch. The cut of the thinning branch should be at the branch, the cut should be smooth, and don't tear the bark.
