Snowfall does harm to greenhouse flowers in many ways: first, mechanical damage. Due to the gravity of the snow, the snow is too thick and can often crush the greenhouse with a weak structure. It is estimated that when the snow thickness is about 20 centimeters, the snow can reach 20 kilograms per square meter, and the snow pressure on the roof of the greenhouse can reach more than 13 tons per mu. Such a heavy burden is difficult to support for simple greenhouses with bamboo and wood structures. It's easy to cause damage. The second is the lack of light. There is no sunshine in the snowy day itself, and in order to keep warm in the shed, several layers of grass mulch and other mulch have to be covered outside the shed, so that the light in the shed is seriously insufficient and photosynthesis cannot be carried out. Third, frost injury. As the saying goes, "it doesn't cool when it snows." Snow is often accompanied by low temperature, improper management is easy to make greenhouse flowers suffer frost damage.

Preventive measures: improve the structure of the greenhouse. The greenhouse with reinforced concrete skeleton structure can be adopted under certain conditions. If bamboo and plastic pipe frames are used, the load capacity should be carefully tested and the arch design should be adopted to enhance the supporting capacity. At the same time, the roof should have a certain slope to make it not easy to snow.

Sweep the snow in time. When it snows during the day, cover the Reed, cover it with grass, and remove the snow immediately after the snow stops; snow at night, sweep the snow in time after the snow stops the next morning, and keep the cover dry. When the snow is particularly heavy, no matter during the day or at night, we should follow the sweep to prevent the heavy snow from crushing the greenhouse.

Strengthen the management of mulch. Take off the mulch in time after snow to make the flowers see the light, and then suddenly clear up after continuous overcast and snowy weather. After removing the mulch, you should pay attention to observe the changes of flower seedlings, find wilting, immediately cover it with Reed hair, open it after recovery, wilt and cover again, so repeatedly, after 2-3 days, you can be transferred to normal management.
