Under the current trend of lack of water resources, it is imperative to vigorously develop water-saving irrigation. Over the years, some advanced water-saving technologies have been popularized, sprinkler irrigation, micro-irrigation, drip irrigation and other technologies, whether in agriculture, forestry or flower industry, their application has become more and more, but there are still several misunderstandings in the use.

First of all, flower enterprises do not have enough understanding of irrigation products. Although water-saving irrigation needs a problem of capital investment and personnel management both in the early stage and in the later stage of maintenance, once the water-saving irrigation system is put into use, its later benefit is very great. It is understood that the investment of self-pressure drip arrow drip irrigation system is about 2000 yuan / mu, that of micro-sprinkler irrigation system is about 1000 yuan / mu, and that of artificial point irrigation system is only about 300 yuan / mu. Therefore, we should not only focus on the immediate interests, but also make long-term considerations. At the same time, because the drip has high requirements for water quality, it is necessary to use the filtration system when it is constructed. if it is designed properly, the input will not be very high, and the timely maintenance in the later stage can also prolong the service life of the filtration system. it can completely make up for the labor and water cost input of non-water-saving irrigation.

Secondly, there is no reasonable irrigation combined with the characteristics of the plant. Different crops have different irrigation needs for water and fertilizer, so they can't blindly pursue water saving.

For those flowers with higher commodity value and longer production cycle, such as poinsettia and Anthurium andraeanum, their growth cycle is from May to October, or even longer, and must be watered at least once a day during the growing period. If water-saving irrigation is adopted, it can not only save water and labor, but also improve the quality and uniformity of flowers and increase economic benefits.

For flowers with short production cycle and low commodity value, such as impatiens and cockscomb, their production management is relatively extensive, so it is not necessary to use drip arrow micro-irrigation equipment, otherwise it is easy to cause high input and low output; in addition, frequent installation and disassembly of drip arrow parts are easy to damage the equipment, affect the normal operation of the equipment and shorten its service life.

Of course, there are deficiencies in irrigation products and services. On the one hand, the quality of domestic irrigation products needs to be improved and there is a lack of independent brands. at the same time, the product quality supervision system should be strengthened to ensure that the products can meet the relevant requirements before leaving the factory. On the other hand, to improve customer service, teach customers how to correctly use and maintain products and equipment, construction enterprises should judge the hour and size up the situation, feedback the problems encountered in the construction to the production side in time, and then the production side will update the products according to the actual needs to meet the market requirements.
