Drip irrigation is one of the most advanced irrigation methods, which is an irrigation system that irrigates crops in the form of drip or continuous small water flow through emitters. The common drip irrigation emitters are emitters, drip arrows, drip irrigation pipes, drip irrigation belts and so on. The advantage of drip irrigation in flower irrigation is that it can avoid plant diseases caused by excessive humidity after irrigation, so drip irrigation is often used in greenhouse flower irrigation.

Drip irrigation system can accurately manage the water and fertilizer of flowers and realize accurate irrigation. It has the advantages of saving water, fertilizer, labor, increasing production and high quality, and is easy to operate. However, the system has high requirements for water quality and poor anti-clogging performance, so in order to relatively save cost, when using drip irrigation system, we should pay attention to the following points:

First, drip irrigation system is different from border irrigation and pipe irrigation, which requires "a small number of times" of irrigation, using drip irrigation system, each irrigation time should not be too long, according to different flowers and planting methods, plant root irrigation should be achieved. For example, it is appropriate to control the water from the bottom of the flowerpot. Increasing irrigation frequency and watering less frequently are the characteristics of drip irrigation.

Second, several requirements should be paid attention to when selecting drip irrigation emitters. Because of the multi-use substrate for planting flowers, the emitter spacing of drip irrigation pipe (belt) should not be large, and the emitter spacing should be 10 cm as far as possible; the emitter flow rate should not be too small, it should be 2L shock h; when laying drip irrigation pipe (belt), attention should be paid to the outlet facing up or parallel to the surface, not downward, so as to prevent the soil from blocking the outlet when water is suddenly cut off. The filter must be cleaned regularly. It is recommended to clean after each irrigation. It is forbidden to remove the filter element.
