In order to promote the rooting of cuttings, the cuttings of Milan, crape myrtle, Chimonanthus and sweet-scented osmanthus can be treated by the following methods in addition to auxin treatment such as naphthylacetic acid.

First, treat the cuttings with potassium permanganate and soak the base of the cuttings in 0.1% potassium permanganate solution of 0.5% potassium permanganate, then take out the cuttings immediately after 12 hours.

Second, the concentration of sugar solution used to treat cuttings with sugar solution is 2%-5% for herbaceous flowers and 5%-10% for woody flowers. Soak the cuttings base 2 cm in the above concentration of white sugar solution for 24 hours, then take out, rinse the sugar solution adhered to the outside of the cuttings with clean water before cutting.

Third, treat the cuttings with medical vitamin B12 and dilute the vitamin 812 injection with twice the cool boil, soak the base of the cuttings into them, take them out after 5 minutes, hang them for a while, and then cut them after the solution is absorbed.

4. Girdling peeling the base of branches during the growth of flowers, so that a large amount of nutrients accumulate in the girdling site, and cutting along the ring peeling place in the dormant period can promote rooting.
