With the Spring Festival approaching, flower sales have entered a golden age. In this period before flowers come out of the nursery, the quality of management has a direct impact on the "selling phase" of flowers, and growers should take measures to maintain them carefully.

Temperature due to the temperature during transportation and the temperature in the store is relatively lower than that in the greenhouse, in order for the flowers to have a gradual adaptation process, the growers should cool the flowers 7-14 days before they come out of the bed and slowly lower the temperature by 5 ℃. The low temperature treatment before leaving the nursery can not only enhance the stress resistance of flowers, but also prolong the shelf life of flowers in the market.

Florescence regulation is crucial for flowers dedicated to the Spring Festival market to master the time of flowering. Take Phalaenopsis as an example, it is best to have 3 or 4 flowers blooming when it is on the market. In order to grasp the accurate time on the market, the key is to regulate the temperature of promoting flowering. If the temperature is too high, flowers will blossom too early or blossom too fast; if the temperature is too low, flowers can not blossom when they come out of the nursery, which will affect the sales of flowers. In addition, different flowers have different requirements for flowering temperature, and there are also differences among different varieties of the same flower. Growers should carry out flowering treatment before listing according to the actual situation. It should be noted that the temperature-sensitive flower varieties should reduce the flowering temperature, while the insensitive flower varieties can increase the flowering temperature.

Watering should be managed before the flowers come out of the nursery, that is, the watering times should be reduced appropriately, and the watering should be stopped 2 days before transportation, so as to keep the basin soil in a slightly dry state. The function of water control management mainly has two aspects: one is to facilitate transportation; the other is to avoid flowers infected with Botrytis cinerea. Fertilization of flowers should grasp the principle of more before and less after, that is, in the shape of flower bracts.

In the mature stage, the amount of fertilizer should be appropriately increased to promote bright flowers and large flowers, and before going out of the nursery, the amount of fertilizer should be reduced and the frequency of fertilization should be reduced so as to slow down its metabolic rate and prolong the viewing period. In addition, the fertilization of flowers before coming out of the nursery should be determined according to the specific nature of different flowers. For example, before Phalaenopsis comes out of the nursery, the application of fertilizer should not be ignored. sufficient nutrient accumulation and well-growing roots are the guarantee of long flowering period.

The light intensity can be regulated according to the actual situation of flowers, the varieties that need to promote flowers should enhance the light, and the varieties that need to control flowers should reduce the light. Increasing the light during the bud formation period contributes to the coloring of the flowers and promotes the large color of the flowers; when the flowers are open, the light should be reduced to prevent excessive light from fading the flowers and affecting the sales of flowers. The light intensity of Phalaenopsis should be kept above 20,000 lux before coming out of the nursery in order to achieve good coloring. Light-colored varieties of Cymbidium have weak requirements for light, while dark-colored varieties have strong requirements for light.
