Prevention and Control skills of "rotten Heart" of Cymbidium and Identification of Edible fungus Diseases
After flowering, due to improper treatment of flowers, it is easy to cause heart rot of orchid plants: in high temperature season, dirty water flows into the leaves and causes rot and necrosis of heart leaves of orchid plants due to improper watering: fertilizer is not fully ripened, which leads to heart leaf rot.
Cause analysis: first, after flowering, the withered flowers were not properly handled, so that the juice from the broken flowers was silted up in the leaves, causing the heart leaves to rot. Second, in the hot season, when watering, let dirty water flow into the leaves to cause a bad heart. Third, improper fertilization, the unripe organic fertilizer damages the growing point in the heart leaves and causes rotten heart.
Prescription:
① due to improper treatment of flowers caused by heart, to note that there is a short growth standstill period after the end of the flowering period, should reduce watering, maintain a little moisture, cut off the ruined flowers, timely use clean toilet paper or cotton wool to absorb the juice, in the whole residual flowers withered to the new leaves exposed process, do not pour water into the leaves.
The rotten heart caused by ② dirty water, remove the plant from the flowerpot, shake off the soil and rinse it clean. Thoroughly remove the rotten part and wipe the wound and its surroundings repeatedly with 75% alcohol tampon. It is good to use plain soil to plant again, the planting depth is only buried to the root and neck, the pot soil is kept slightly wet, put it in a cool half-sun place, to avoid Rain Water drenching into the leaves to cause another rotten heart, no longer give leaves and spray water, you can use a wet cloth to wipe off the dust attached to the leaves. The normal management of water and fertilizer can not be restored until the new bud leaves grow to 5cm~8cm.
For the rotten heart caused by the subsequent fermentation of ③ unripe organic fertilizer, the rotten plant should be removed, the rotten roots and leaves should be cut off, washed with clean water, and the roots should be soaked in 0.3% potassium permanganate solution for 2 hours, then dried in a cool place for 12 hours, and then implanted into the sterilized fresh pot soil, the leaves are expected to sprout again.
