Pathogenesis: This disease is easy to occur in humid and high temperature seasons. The main reason is due to spraying water on the leaves to bring germs or because the pot soil has been too wet for a long time to cause rotten roots and rotten stem tips. In the early stage of disease, root tip growth points rot first, and then gradually spread, causing stem tip and heart leaf rot. Clivia rotted roots after the destruction of normal physiological functions and absorption of plants, resulting in clivia temperature rise, so called high fever disease. This disease develops very fast, generally within 1 to 2 days, even in a few hours, the plant temperature can rise from 25℃ to 35~40℃, half a day can make the stem tip of Clivia rot.

Prevention and treatment methods: If the temperature of the base tissue and leaf seat of Clivia is tested with the back of the hand, it is found to be higher than or equal to the human body temperature, indicating that Clivia suffers from high fever. At this time, rescue measures should be taken to scrub the central leaves with cold water. At the same time, clivia can also be taken out of the basin, rinsed with cold water roots, and then placed in a cool and ventilated place, continue to observe whether the temperature of the base of the plant rises, if it continues to rise, it must be operated on. The method is to cut a small slit vertically on both sides of the bulb of the central leaf with a sterile sharp knife, then rinse the central leaf one by one with cold water for 10 minutes, and then still put it in a cool and ventilated place for observation.

If the temperature does not continue to rise, it means that the problem has been solved. As long as management is strengthened, the disease will not continue to spread. If the temperature is still rising, check the center blade to see if it has rotted. If there is no rotten heart, then you can pour the pot, soak the clivia in cold water for two hours and check again. If the temperature continues to rise, the central leaves of clivia have rotten leaves, so you must carry out major surgery, cut off all the leaves from the false bulb, so that you can keep the stem and root, re-cultivate, let the stem sprout new buds, retain the variety, and there is no good policy.
