Master the topdressing method of edible fungi, how to fertilize Clivia scientifically
Clivia is fertile, but excessive fertilization will cause rotten roots. The general fertilization method is to apply base fertilizer in combination with changing pots. Fermented solid cake fertilizer is applied once every other month in spring, autumn and winter, and organic liquid fertilizer is applied once a week. Commonly used solid fertilizer is mainly a variety of oil seeds fried and crushed can be applied, but also can be decomposed and fermented cake fertilizer and bone meal. Fertilization should be based on the size of the plant, the number of leaves to determine. When fertilizing, dig open the pot soil and bury the fertilizer 2 cm into the soil to avoid direct contact with the roots. Commonly used liquid fertilizer is mainly fermented broken bone, beans, shrimp and other retting juice, take its supernatant, diluted 20~40 times application. Fertilization time is generally in the early morning, should be poured along the edge of the pot, avoid applying to the plant. After applying liquid fertilizer, a small amount of water should be poured in time to dissolve the fertilizer and wash the newly grown fleshy roots. According to different seasons, the types of fertilization have some emphasis. Nitrogen fertilizer such as soybean cake is applied in autumn; phosphorus and potassium fertilizer such as sesame and bone meal are applied in winter and spring; foliar topdressing such as 0.1% potassium dihydrogen phosphate or 0.5% calcium superphosphate is applied in summer. Although topdressing can be carried out all year round, foliar spraying in summer not only makes seedlings grow faster, shoots more, flowers bigger, but also can cool down. (Source: Flower China)
