Management of flowering stage of Phalaenopsis and fertilization techniques of Edible Fungi
Butterfly orchid florescence should be strictly controlled temperature, should not be too high or too low. The most suitable temperature is 15 ℃ ~ 18 ℃ at night and 23 ℃ ~ 25 ℃ in daytime. The continuous low temperature below 14 ℃ can cause bud growth retardation, even sepal frostbite, flower malformation and complete loss of ornamental value. If the temperature is too high, if the temperature is more than 20 ℃ at night, the continuous high temperature above 27 ℃ during the day will accelerate its metabolism and shorten the flowering period.
The water required for the whole flowering period should be lower than usual, and under the premise that the normal growth of the plant is not affected, the dryness of the medium is helpful to the flower color. Humidity about hand squeeze medium fingers have a sense of moisture is appropriate, do not be too dry or too wet. If the medium is too dry, it will cause the leaves to wilt, make the leaves soft and dull, and reduce the ornamental value. However, the cultivation medium is too wet, the oxygen in the seedling bag is squeezed out by water, which lasts for a week, the plant growth is frustrated and the leaves are wrinkled and wilted, which will seriously affect the bud development, the flowering is small and dull, the petal margin is scorched yellow, and the whole plant has no appreciation value.
The light intensity of flowering plants is different from that of shade and shade in the early stage. in this period, the shade should be removed, and increasing the light intensity will help the flowers to stretch, the arrow nodes are uniform and the flowers are colorful.
Phalaenopsis is originally produced in a place with high temperature and humidity, which requires high air humidity throughout the production cycle, especially in the later stage, the relative humidity should reach 80%-85%. Higher air humidity is conducive to the bright spread of flowers. If the relative humidity is below 60%, the flowers will wrinkle. When the air is dry and the sun is strong from noon to afternoon every day, sprinkle water on the open space several times to increase air humidity and help cool down. During this period, we should pay attention to the indoor air circulation, let the indoor air exchange with the outdoor fresh air, and provide enough fresh carbon dioxide for Phalaenopsis. The more carbon dioxide in a certain space, the more conducive to the blooming of flowers, the longer the time.
In the later stage, Phalaenopsis plants basically stopped growing, but there was no fertilization in this period, and too much fertilizer would lead to rotting roots. However, in the production, the author found that a small amount of fertilization was helpful to flowering and the quality of flowers was good, while the plants without fertilization showed that the flower arrows were hard and brittle, the inflorescence internodes were too long and the flowers were too large. Rarefied liquid fertilizer is applied every half month, and the proportion of fertilizer should be more emphasis on phosphorus and potassium fertilizer.
