Orchids have been praised since ancient times, elegant flowers, green leaves are all lovable. So there are a lot of flower friends who put it at home. When some of our flower friends raise orchids at home, some of them haven't seen orchids bloom for several years. So it is rare for orchids to bloom, so how to manage the flowering period of orchids?

I. the flowering period of orchids should be managed from six aspects.

Maybe some flower friends will think how to manage the flowering period of orchids, and it will be over after they bloom directly. In fact, this is not the case. we also have to manage the orchid during its flowering period, so that it will grow better and bloom more luxuriantly in the coming year. Then we can manage it from the aspects of watering, humidity, light, pruning, wind and rain prevention and pest control after orchid blossoms.

1. Control the amount of water.

During the period of orchid flowers, the watering method of orchids needs special attention. At this time, orchids should not be too dry. If the amount of water is too little, it is likely to affect scape uplift. And when we water early, we must avoid sprinkling water on the bracts, so as not to cause rot. when the buds of orchids bloom, we should control the water appropriately, otherwise it will cause the outer three petals to lengthen and fall off the shoulders.

2. Improve the air humidity

After the orchid flowers bloom, we should stop spraying water on the petals at will. Too much humidity in the petals can easily lead to the flowers withering ahead of time. But the petals also need humidity to maintain, so we can put a small humidifier when the orchid blossoms, so that the petals of the orchid will be delicate and moist, and the flowering period will be relatively long.

3. Lighting

Before the orchid bud blooms, we should put it in the soft sun to bask in the sun, so that the orchid flowers will be bright and beautiful. Once the bud is in bloom, we should immediately move it to a cool and ventilated position, which can prevent the flower from withering and prolong the flowering period.

4. Pruning in time

If we find that the orchid has more buds, or there are some pseudobulbs, we can trim off some buds and pseudobulbs properly, so as to avoid the consumption of excess nutrients and give more nutrients to other buds. In addition, the scape of orchids should also be cut off in time to prevent it from consuming nutrients.

5. Guard against wind and rain

During the flowering period of the orchid, the strong wind has a great influence on the orchid. When the wind blows to the orchid, the arrow of the orchid will be broken and the petals will be wilted. In addition, Rain Water will also cause the petals of orchids to wither, so on windy and rainy days, we must move the orchids to indoor shelter.
