A new method of controlling orchid scale insects and mastering the method of topdressing edible fungi
Scale insects are the most common pests of orchids, which are mainly parasitic on the stems and leaves of orchids. Scale insects have strong reproductive ability and can reproduce several generations a year on orchids. There are many species of scale insects, which are commonly seen in orchids, such as shield scale, striped pink scale, orchid scale, bran shield scale and mulberry white shield scale. The prevention and control methods are as follows:
1. Planting: orchids should be planted in new soil without germs, and formaldehyde solution should be used to disinfect the soil when using old soil; 110% plant ash should be mixed in the soil and new high-fat film should be added to prevent the soil from being slightly acidic. Selecting high-quality varieties and spraying soil surface with new high-fat film after planting can protect soil moisture, prevent evaporation, prevent sun and drought, prevent soil layer from hardening, suffocate and isolate the source of diseases and insect pests, and protect the growth of seedlings.
2. Management: maintain a ventilated and transparent growth environment and shade in summer and autumn. Pay attention to rational watering and fertilization, and spray new high-fat film to preserve soil moisture and fertilizer. When a small number of insect pests occur, manual control is usually used. It can be brushed off gently with a soft brush, and then rinsed with water. Cut off dense, withered and diseased branches at the right time, and remove excess buds. Apply healing film to the pruning wound to promote wound healing and prevent the infection of bacteria and insect pests. Spraying Zhuangtiling on the buds can make the buds strong, the petals enlarged, the flowers colorful, the fragrance rich, and the florescence prolonged.
3. Chemical control: spraying in the peak hatching period of eggs, during this period, nymphs hatch soon, so it is easy to kill with chemicals. Use 50% omethoate emulsion (or 80% dichlorvos EC) plus new high-fat film, spray on the front and back of the leaves, spray every 5 to 7 days, spray more than 3 times continuously, the effect is very good.
