The climate in the south is warm, the dormancy period of plants is short and the sprouting is early. The best pile picking period is from Lesser Cold to Greater Cold. Tree-sparrow plum after dormancy, accumulated a lot of nutrients, conducive to germination and rooting. Roots and buds complement each other. The good development and growth of them is the premise and key to ensure the survival of tree stump and prevent withering and withering branches.

The growth of sparrow plum should not only have the necessary natural conditions such as sunshine, air, water, soil and so on. In the whole growth process, sparrow plum also needs artificial conditions such as correct maintenance of fertilizers and pesticides (prevention of diseases and insect pests) and so on. Only under favorable conditions can excellent Finch plum be cultivated.

If you want to have a basin of fine sparrow plum, you must find a better shape of sparrow plum stump. The stumps dug at different times have different effects on the growth and development of the stakes.

For a long time, many people are still asking: "when can I dig up the plum?" Many people have answered this question in many places. Some people say, "you can dig," while others say, "you can't dig." When on earth can we dig sparrow plum?

China has a vast territory, and there are great differences in climate temperature and humidity from south to north at the same time. Therefore, there is no correct or standard answer to the question of when finches can be dug. It is best to choose the most appropriate time for mining according to local conditions.

I believe that many people, including me, have personally tested when they can dig finches. The purpose is to find a more clear answer. Practice has proved that as long as you have mastered the habits of sparrow plum, accumulated some maintenance experience, plus careful and redoubled efforts. Dare to say: "sparrow plum can be dug at any time of the year." I basically agree with this, but I will never dig all the year round.

If you don't know anything about sparrow plum and don't know the basic methods of growing sparrow plum, no matter how good the pile is, no matter how good the season is, you can't raise sparrow plum well.

In fact, Finch plum likes warm and humid climate and is not very hardy. Strong adaptability, lax requirements for soil quality, acidic, neutral and calcareous soil can adapt. Resistant to drought, moisture and barren. Xi Yang is also more resistant to Yin. It also has the characteristics of developed root system, strong germination and resistance to pruning. It's hard to raise such an unfastidious tree!

In addition, Finch plum has indomitable vitality and exuberant energy, a bit like the character of a banyan tree-branches touch the ground to take root. In the mountains, you can often see the phenomenon that a branch from a sparrow plum head falls to the ground and then takes root and becomes multiple pile heads.

It is said that sparrow plum can dig all the year round, so when will it be better? The southern coastal climate is warm, the cold time in the mountains is not very long, the plant dormancy period is short, and the sprouting is early. Take Fuzhou as an example. As soon as the 24 solar term "sting" is over, everything recovers, and Finch plum sticks out the tip of the bud early. By the time of "the Spring Equinox" and "Qingming Festival", the tender buds of Finch Plum here have grown to more than ten or twenty centimeters long. Therefore, the best pile collection period in the southern coast is the period from Lesser Cold to Greater Cold. In the mountainous areas of the south, there is often frost during the "Lesser Cold" period, so we can postpone a solar term to dig.

Why dig at this time?

Because in the 24 solar terms, the sparrow plum will sprout only after the sting, so it is necessary to use the time of the first two solar terms (the Beginning of Spring, Rain Water) to fully "rest and recuperate" the cut-off and root-cut sparrow plum. After a month of recuperation and wound healing, and when the temperature warmed up, Finch Plum took root and sprouted at the same time.

Also because the trees are dormant, they accumulate a lot of nutrients, which is conducive to germination and rooting. Roots and buds complement each other. The good development and growth of them is the premise and key to ensure the survival of tree stump and prevent withering and withering branches. At the same time, with the longer the time of rooting and sprouting, the thicker and longer the branches will grow. in the more than 2 months from "stinging" to "the Beginning of Summer" (entering summer), the roots and branches of Finch plum can better adapt to the high temperature in summer and greatly improve the survival rate.

The northern climate is colder, the winter time is longer, all the year round, four distinct seasons. Especially in North China and Northeast China, the ice and snow will not melt until after the Spring Equinox, and the trees will not sprout until after 5.1 every year. Therefore, friends in the north can postpone digging until around the Spring Equinox.

Due to the warm climate in the south, the coastal winter is not obvious. Lesser Cold began to dig in the Qingming Festival, which is classified as digging in spring. After the "Qingming Festival" to "the Beginning of Autumn" before the dig, can be attributed to the summer dig. Dug during this period, the temperature is high, we must do a good job in shading and moisturizing measures, to spend more time and energy than usual to care. Otherwise, it is extremely prone to dehydration, skin frying, fake life, and real death. So digging stumps in summer is not recommended.

As soon as the Beginning of Autumn is over, it will be autumn. The temperature is not high. The south is usually about 20-27 degrees. It is very suitable for plants to continue to grow. At this time, ordinary trees will sprout again like spring. Finch plum is no exception, so it is a good time to dig piles at the end of September and the beginning of October (around National Day).

The Finch plum dug during this period of time will germinate quickly (usually take root and sprout in 20 days). When the branches grow to the end of December, the branches also have 10 or 20 centimeters, and they can survive the winter safely as long as they are slightly protected in the mountain areas where frost occurs.

By the end of November, that is, the Beginning of Winter and Lesser Snow. In the north, strong winds began to cool down, and trees began to lose their leaves and dormant. Trees in the south generally do not begin to go dormant until mid-December. The dormancy of trees means that they are conserving their energy and do not sprout under normal circumstances. Only when they are "stung" will they wake up and sprout. Therefore, it is usually in December and January. The piles dug in early February are all dormant piles. They won't rush to sprout for you.

The pile dug at the end of November is considered as a winter pile. The winter pile is especially in the colder places, because of the low temperature, long winter time, strong wind and dry and other factors. If the heat preservation work is not done well, the pile will be easily frozen to death and air-dried to death. Greatly affect the growth and survival of sparrow plum. Therefore, it is not recommended to dig piles at the beginning and middle of winter.

How to dig and deal with the sparrow plum stump?

1. Master the mining period. Timely excavation is the key to ensure the survival of sparrow plum stump. Generally, between January and March, the best mining time is before the stump sprouting, and the survival rate is greatly reduced after sprouting; the second is from November to December, when the stump is in the dormant period; in other periods, the bare root is difficult to survive, if you want to dig, you must bring a good soil ball.

2. Mining technology. When you go out for mining, you should bring hoes, cutters, hand saws, branch shears, bandages, ropes and so on. When the sparrow plum stump is found, it is necessary to observe whether it has mining value and cultivation prospect. When digging, first cut off the useless branches with a hand saw, and keep the branches needed for modeling. Take the soil and dig the pile according to the range of 6 times the backbone, and the hoes and hoes are used in turn when digging. When it comes across a larger root, it can be sawed off by a hand saw. To leave more fine roots, lateral roots, protect the root hair. After digging, wrap it up with bandage to avoid bruising the dry root, prevent sun dehydration, and transport it back to the pot for planting as soon as possible.

3. Pre-pot treatment. Before putting on the pot, according to the needs of making the shape, type the manuscript, consider the reserved branches, and cut the redundant branches. The length of the sprouting branch should be 1 / 2 nodes longer than the predetermined sprouting point. Make sure the front of the stump is facing back, scraped with a planer blade and sealed with paraffin or white glue to prevent the xylem of the trunk from rotting or drying in the sun. When there are more fine roots and lateral roots, they can be sawed or cut according to the needs of the ornamental basin in design; if there are few fine roots and lateral roots, they can be appropriately long. The cut of the root is re-cut with sharp scissors to make the cut smooth. Cut off the rotten leaves to facilitate the growth of new roots. For bare trees dug during the dormant period, if you want to plant Hawthorn after 2-3 days of transportation, you can soak the stump in clean water for 2-3 hours before planting, so that the stump can absorb more water, and then planting is beneficial to survival.
