The elm bonsai bought a month ago was fine at first. After two days of raising it, aphids began to grow, and the leaves all withered. Then I took off all the leaves according to what I wrote on the Internet, and sprayed pepper water, then got better and began to sprout new buds. But now somehow began to lose the leaves, this time there are no worms, but no leaves, the original leaves have withered.

Some of the newly extracted leaves directly withered and withered off! What is the reason for this? And the seller said that water should be watered every two days in winter, right? Is it too much? It's winter on my side. ) I bravely cut off some dead branches two days ago, but it didn't get any better. Ask for guidance from talented people! I don't want to throw it away!

Let's first take a look at the reasons for the fallen leaves of elm bonsai:

1, the basin soil is too dry, suddenly add a lot of water, make the plant body form detachment layer. The leaves will suddenly fall.

2. A large number of fallen leaves will also occur when pyrethroids pesticides are used when insect pests occur.

3. When the fertilizer is too heavy and the sunshine is strong, the leaves are withered and yellow, and the leaves will fall when you meet Rain Water.

4. Elm is especially not resistant to water and humidity, but it is cold-resistant, so it must not be called too much water. Stagnant water is easy to rot its roots. Elm is a withered leaf plant, and it is OK if its leaves fall off, but as long as the root of the elm is not rotten. You can pour less water, or take out the root, cut off the rotten part, dry it and put it in the basin.

During the recovery period, it is necessary to reduce light and watering, especially now there are no leaves, low photosynthesis, let alone so much water.

Judging from the current situation, the problem may lie in the root, don't bother to dig it out to see if the root is rotten, if it is rotten, please immediately trim the rotten root, and dry or replace the soil, if there are conditions to mix some sand and gravel into the soil to make use of air, if the rotten root of the plant is not blistered but overfertilized, then in addition to cutting the rotten root, you must rinse the root and change the soil.

Elm is very skinny and solid, in the north, it is a kind of hibernating plant with deciduous leaves, it will become a smooth rod in winter, and when the weather turns warm in spring, it will sprout in large numbers; as long as the plant is healthy, you don't have to care too much and let nature take its course. In addition, the life span of plant leaves is limited, not long-term, unless it is a lifeless false flower, which is the same for any plant.

The one I bought last winter was also old and lost its leaves, so it went bald directly. However, new leaves have grown again at the beginning of spring this year, and now they are very luxuriant, and all the leaves on the tree are basically new this year. So don't worry too much.
