Requirements for growth Environment of Pleurotus ostreatus
Pleurotus ostreatus, also known as frozen fungus, is one of the common edible mushrooms. General edible fungi have different planting methods from other vegetables. For the environment, they all need to provide a special environment to survive. Therefore, the environment for the cultivation of Pleurotus ostreatus needs to meet its own needs, and the water, light, temperature, humidity and nutrition must be in line with the growth environment of Pleurotus ostreatus, which is the most favorable for the growth of Pleurotus ostreatus.
1. Temperature
Pleurotus ostreatus is mostly cultivated in greenhouses, greenhouses and other facilities, so indoor temperature and humidity adjustment is very important, because it will not be able to rely on external adjustment. Most hyphae can grow at 5 to 35 degrees, but the most suitable temperature is 20 to 30 degrees. For example, the most suitable temperature for mycelium growth of Pleurotus ostreatus is 24 to 27 degrees, and the fruiting body is 13 to 18 degrees.
2. Humidity
Pleurotus ostreatus likes to be wet, sometimes farmers put it next to the water tank to let it grow, the mycelium growth humidity of cottonseed shell medium should be 55% to 60%, and the humidity of wheat straw should be 70%, 50% will not happen, even if the environmental humidity is high. Fruiting body growth requires high environmental humidity, generally 80% to 85%, humidity between 70% and 95%, too low to produce mushrooms, too high to grow slowly.
3. Nutrition
To solve the problem of temperature and humidity, the next most important thing is the satisfaction of nutrition, nutrition and growth. The natural growth of Pleurotus ostreatus will naturally decompose the parasitic wood for nutrition. However, artificial cultivation depends on the medium, which can be mixed with a variety of materials, with a single raw material and insufficient nutrients, such as cottonseed shell, corncob, rice straw, wheat straw and so on. Mainly meet the carbon and nitrogen components, insufficient can be artificially supplemented, such as adding urea, lime, cake fertilizer.
4. Lighting
The environment needed for mycelium growth is relatively dark, and dark light is suitable for mycelium growth. Except red, orange, yellow and green light, light is harmful to mycelium growth. The development of fruiting body needs enough light to bid farewell to the dark environment, which is probably the best natural light from the outside world. If it is too dark, it is easy to produce deformed mushrooms with small feet and light color.
5. Other
The mycelium needs a certain amount of carbon dioxide to grow well, but the fruiting body needs enough oxygen to grow, not much carbon dioxide. Carbon monoxide, sulfides, acetylene and other substances in the air can harm mushrooms. The mycelium can grow between 3.5 and 9.0, but the best pH value is 5.4 to 7.5.
The environment needed for the cultivation of Pleurotus ostreatus has its own needs for the above aspects, and planting should try to create such suitable growth conditions for Pleurotus ostreatus, so that the growth of Pleurotus ostreatus will be better, the quality will be improved, and the yield will be improved, so it will be better naturally.
