When the orchid enters its adult stage, it can grow new buds, break them off and cultivate them into new plants. this is called asexual reproduction of Cymbidium, which can be divided into stem lateral buds, stem bottom buds and inter-leaf buds according to the position of the buds. When the bud grows to 6 leaves, the stem bottom bud and stem lateral bud can be treated at the same time, and the ramet time should be combined with changing basin soil at the same time in autumn. Because of the low temperature in this season, the ramet wound is not easy to infect and rot. Inter-leaf buds must wait for the leaves on the bud side to fall off naturally until all the buds are exposed before they can be considered for treatment, when the buds generally grow larger.

The maintenance of rootless buds is more complicated than that of rootless buds. The specific operation methods are introduced in detail:

First, rootless buds: rootless buds should be induced before planting, which can be induced by hydroponics or river sand, perlite and coconut bran.

1. Choose the river sand of rice grain size and scald it with boiling water to disinfect it. No river sand, perlite and coconut bran can also be used.

2. Bury the root of the bud in the sand, be careful not to bury it too deep, and make sure that the bud can stand.

3. Spray water on the sand every day and keep it slightly moist, at least for 15 days or more for a month or so, and the orchid will take root. Luring roots can also be used in water culture, put the magnolia on the mouth of the water bottle, the bottom slightly contact the surface of the water.

4. after the small buds take root, they can be transplanted into the basin, and the basin soil can be prepared according to the ratio of rotten leaf soil: pine needle soil: sand = 3:1:1. Just put the transplant in a place of astigmatism and ventilation for 2-3 weeks, and do not pour too much water before setting the root, the soil can be semi-dry.

Second, there are root buds: buds with roots are relatively simple and can be planted directly into the potted soil.

1. Prepare basin soil according to the ratio of rotten leaf soil: pine needle soil: sand = 3:1:1, and plant Cymbidium into the basin.

2. Just planted for 2-3 weeks in a cool place for maintenance, can not bask in the sun. A month later, in the morning and evening, you can move to the outside to bask in the sun for 2-3 hours.

Don't water too much, keep the soil semi-dry, or it's easy to rot the roots.
