Spinach can be planted all over the country, we have been using container planting, or container seedlings, as well as facility cultivation and other planting methods, but these methods still rely on the soil. Because of the shortage of land resources in our country, people have developed the method of soilless cultivation of vegetables through efforts, which can reduce diseases and insect pests, convenient and easy to manage, and grow well. Then what is the operation method of soilless cultivation of spinach, the article will introduce.

I. seed treatment

Soak the seeds in hot water above 50 for 5 to 8 minutes before sowing. The seeds are thinner, so the time is shortened. Keep stirring in the middle to avoid scalding the seeds. Or soak in a potion for 20 minutes. Then dry in warm water and soak the seeds in warm water of about 25 to 30 degrees for a day or two. Take out the cleaning and drying bag in a clean wet cloth, put it in the incubator, and set the temperature at which the spinach germinates.

2. Sowing and raising seedlings

When the seeds are broken, put all the seeds in a clean soilless seedling tray, be sure to clean and disinfect the seedling plate, then put two seeds in one hole, and finally cover it with small sand mixed with plant ash, covering a depth of about 2 centimeters. After watering thoroughly, observe the situation every day and water it every day. Spinach seeds will germinate in about three days.

III. Cultivation

Install the cultivation facilities, plant containers, then disinfect, configure the nutrient solution, and configure it according to the nutrient absorption characteristics of spinach. Then transplant the seedlings that grow true leaves. After cleaning the roots, place one or two seedlings in a small container, generally one strong seedling and two weak seedlings. Pour some water, put it in the solution, and the seedlings will recover slowly in a few days.

IV. Cultivation and management

In container cultivation, we should pay attention to adding nutrient solution every day, the growth of seedlings is about to add more nutrition, and the nutrient composition should be different from that of adult plants. Generally planted in a 1-liter container, the nutrient solution should be kept at about 700 milliliters. More nutrients are needed in the seedling stage than in the adult plant. There should be room for root expansion at the bottom of the spinach container.

V. Disease and pest control

Soilless cultivation is rarely sick, on the contrary, it is prone to the symptoms of lack of fertilizer or excessive nutrition. In addition, pests may occur if you are not careful. Aphids are mainly likely to occur, aphids suck juice, generally use 50% aldicarb (avoid aphid fog) 2000-3000 times liquid or 40% dimethoate 1000 times solution to control.

Spinach and other fibrous root dwarf vegetables, soilless cultivation is very suitable, easy to manage, easy to produce high-quality vegetables, can reduce the occupied area, increase yield, but also can be planted in multi-season, over-season planting. The above are the specific methods of spinach soilless cultivation, to provide reference.
