The method of changing the basin of beech bonsai
If the bonsai tree grows in the limited potted soil environment for too long, the fertility will be gradually exhausted with the passage of time, and the potted soil will become more and more hardened, and the air permeability and water permeability will be seriously affected. So changing the pot of the bonsai tree at the right time is the basis to ensure that it continues to grow well. Beech bonsai is no exception, usually to a certain number of years need to change the basin in time. So, how do beech bonsai change pots?
Changing pots for bonsai trees is a time-consuming and laborious task, but in order to reap the joy of changing pots, let's turn the boring process of changing pots into a pleasure. Today, the editor will introduce to you the process of changing the basin of the beech bonsai.
1. This is a beech bonsai to be changed. From the appearance, the bonsai is relatively large, so we used a four-wheeled trolley and installed a lifting platform for easy operation.
2. Move the bonsai to the trolley, and then move it indoors to a convenient place to change the basin. Be careful to keep the lift table at the same height as the workbench, so that it is easier to move the bonsai.
3. Because this bonsai work is relatively large, it is difficult to lift it directly, so we need to finish it with the help of ropes. Then hang the whole bonsai to a suitable height that is easy to operate.
4. Next, prepare a small root hook, and then carefully remove moss and other mulch from the surface of the basin soil.
5. Use the hook, small shovel and other tools to separate the root system of the bonsai from the bonsai basin, so that you can take off the basin.
6. Hang the whole bonsai tree and separate the stump from the bonsai pot so that we can remove the soil for the beech bonsai.
7. The next step is to remove the excess old soil adhering to the roots of the beech bonsai. We can see that part of the fibrous root has been exposed.
8. Prepare a new bonsai basin, pad it with a slate that can pick up the ground, and then put the removed beech trees in the newly prepared bonsai basin.
9. Then fill the beech bonsai with new potted soil. However, it should be noted that the height of the newly filled soil should be slightly lower than the rim of the basin, so that it will not overflow everywhere when watering.
10. After the basin change is completed, don't forget to water it once in time before the whole basin change process is really completed.
