What to do when the hydrangea flowers wither
Hydrangea is widely used in potted plants and cut flowers because of its high flowering and ornamental value. How to keep hydrangea fresh in water, the editor has already shared it for you in the last article, and you may still have a certain impression. However, when we sometimes cause hydrangea wilting in advance because of improper maintenance. So, what should we do when we encounter water-raised hydrangea wilting?
Whether it is potted ornamental or cut flower application, keeping hydrangea blooming is undoubtedly the biggest viewing point. Once the flower wilts, hydrangea loses its ornamental value. Therefore, we need to use scientific and effective management methods to keep water hydrangea fresh, so as to prolong the florescence, so that the ornamental value of hydrangea can be maintained for a longer time. So, after the water-raised hydrangea wilted, is there any way to make it shine again?
As a matter of fact, there are ways, and they are feasible. As long as we master the following method of operation shared by the editor, I believe that even the wilted hydrangea can regain its radiance. We mainly try to achieve the re-blooming of hydrangea through the following attempts:
First of all, we need to prepare a large glass container, then inject clean water into the container, and then soak the whole flower branch, including the flowers, in clean water. Note that the selected container must be large enough and the amount of water injected should be enough to ensure that the flower branches can be completely soaked in water.
If the phenomenon of hydrangea wilting caused by dehydration is not very serious, the original can usually soak for about 4 hours; if the dehydration is very serious, that is, the wilting degree of the flower branches is relatively deep, it is recommended to soak it for more than 12 hours.
Through this method, more than 80% of hydrangea branches that wilt in advance can often re-show the posture of blooming delicate and beautiful flowers. But we also need to note that if the hydrangea branches do not wilt, but only other causes cause the flowers to wilt, we can not continue to soak, usually only need to spray water on the flowers in clusters to keep them fresh.
Sometimes, we will feel that the hydrangea bouquet is relatively large, and there are more small twigs. After inserting it into the bottle, it appears to be a little scattered, which is naturally not very beautiful. Therefore, we can tie up these twigs with a rope, which not only makes the bouquet appear more regular, but also makes the flower head more concentrated, thus improving the overall ornamental effect.
