Can asparagus be cultured in water without roots?
Asparagus is a relatively quiet and beautiful evergreen plant, just like a lovely girl, showing us the most beautiful side of herself. And asparagus can be cultivated in both soil and water, so it is a kind of vine plant with good cultivation and high ornamental value. Hydroponic asparagus can not only make the environment cleaner, but also has no lower ornamental value than soil asparagus. So, can asparagus be hydroponically cultivated without roots?
Many potted flowers and plants can be cultivated in soil and water, and generally, strong branches can be cut from soil culture pots to survive. However, asparagus can not be cultivated in this way. If asparagus is cultured in water without roots, it is often impossible to survive. If we want to make hydroponic asparagus successful, we first need to prepare an asparagus with intact roots, and then carry out hydroponic culture.
In other words, if we want to carry out hydroponic culture, we need to domesticate asparagus by adopting soil culture in advance. Although it is said that soil culture, but not necessarily to grow in the soil, we can use glass containers into ceramsite, and then plant asparagus seedlings into ceramsite, and then by injecting the right amount of water, at the same time to ensure smooth ventilation and bright light. At the same time, it should be noted that in order to domesticate asparagus in such an environment, it is more appropriate to change water frequently, generally 2-3 days in the initial stage and 3-5 days in the later stage.
It often takes about 2 months for asparagus to be domesticated in such an environment. Usually after 2 months, you can see the white young roots of asparagus, and then take it out and put it into a glass container filled with clear water for water culture. However, in order to ensure that the plant can grow normally in water culture mode, it is recommended to soak the roots in carbendazim solution for a while before water culture, which is usually about half an hour.
After sterilizing and disinfecting the roots, take out the plants and leave them in a cool place to dry for a while. After the roots become soft, we can carry out water culture. During the period of aquaculture, changing water is very important. Generally, keep a change of fresh water every 2-3 days in the early stage, and 4-5 days after 2 weeks. And the time and frequency of changing water also need to be flexibly adjusted with reference to the local temperature environment.
In addition, we also need to drop a few drops of nutrient solution when changing water to ensure that the plant can absorb enough nutrients to promote growth. At the same time, we also need to make sure that the environment is ventilated smoothly, the light is bright, and the temperature is suitable, so that asparagus can grow healthily in a hydroponic environment.
