What if the leaves of Guanyin bamboo turn yellow?
Guanyin bamboo not only has a stout stem and more like bamboo, but also has large leaves, evergreen all the year round, and is more shade-tolerant, so as a family pot cultivation, it can often get a good effect. However, it is precisely because the stems and leaves of Guanyin bamboo remain evergreen all the year round and can well afforest, beautify and embellish the environment, which is very suitable for viewing leaves. However, once the leaves appear yellowing, it will greatly affect its application value. So, what if the leaves of Guanyin bamboo turn yellow?
Guanyin bamboo as a kind of green plant which is very suitable for indoor foliage, the phenomenon of yellowing leaves is naturally the last thing we want to see, but sometimes it is inevitable in the actual process of planting and breeding. When the leaves are yellowing, there must be problems in growth, so we need to take remedial measures in time to improve or eliminate the bad symptoms.
The phenomenon of yellow leaves may occur not only in the hydroponic environment, but also in the soil culture environment. The phenomenon of yellow leaves in foliage plants is mainly due to the destruction of growth environment or improper means of maintenance and management. Whether hydroponic or soil-cultivated Guanyin bamboo, the appearance of yellow leaves is generally caused by light, temperature, humidity, water and fertilizer and other conditions.
I. Lighting
Guanyin bamboo is a kind of foliage plant which is both shade-tolerant and shade-loving. Because it is not tolerant to strong direct light, once it is placed in a high-intensity direct light environment, the plant may appear yellow leaf phenomenon. Because the leaves of Guanyin bamboo are huge, the effect of evaporating water through the leaves is obvious, especially under strong light, it is more likely to cause dehydration in the plant, so it will produce the phenomenon of yellow leaves.
Of course, if the growth environment of Guanyin bamboo is so shady that even scattered light can not be guaranteed, it will often cause the phenomenon of lack of light and yellow in the plant. Therefore, in view of the yellow leaf phenomenon of Guanyin bamboo due to improper lighting, we only need to improve the lighting environment, generally put it in a semi-shady place that can fully receive scattered light for maintenance.
Second, temperature
Many people tend to ignore the factor of temperature in the process of growing Guanyin bamboo. In fact, temperature also plays an important role in plant growth. If the temperature is too high, the transpiration of Guanyin bamboo leaves is obvious, which is easy to cause dehydration and produce yellow leaves; but if the temperature is too low and Guanyin bamboo is not cold-resistant, it will also produce yellow leaves or even fallen leaves because of freezing.
Guanyin bamboo prefers a warm, damp and well-ventilated environment, and the original likes to grow at a temperature of 20-35 ℃. Because Guanyin bamboo is generally placed indoors for maintenance, it is generally not affected by high temperature. When the temperature is too high, you can spray more water to keep moisture and cool down, and improve the ventilation condition at the same time. But if the temperature is too low, especially in the cold winter, we need to take timely measures to keep it warm and warm, so that it can receive more light. This can effectively prevent the occurrence of yellow leaves in plants. In winter, it is generally necessary to keep the ambient temperature above 10 °C to avoid affecting normal growth or frostbite.
Third, humidity
Since Guanyin bamboo prefers a shady and humid growth environment, it needs not only shading, but also a higher humidity growth environment. If the environmental humidity is not enough, especially the potted Guanyin bamboo cultivated in soil is more prone to the phenomenon of yellow leaves in the dry season with high temperature. Therefore, in the high temperature and dry season, in addition to timely replenishment of water, but also need to spray more water to improve air humidity. This should be done even in a hydroponic environment.
Of course, in the same soil culture environment, excessive watering causes stagnant water and leads to rotten roots, which will also make the stems and leaves of Guanyin bamboo withered and yellow. Therefore, for soil culture Guanyin bamboo, water must be replenished in a timely manner, and it is very important to maintain a suitable humidity environment for its normal growth. As for hydroponic culture of Guanyin bamboo, the water should be changed regularly to keep the water clean and avoid breeding germs and infecting the plant.
IV. Nutrients
Because the stems of Guanyin bamboo are stout and the leaves are huge, especially if the leaves want to keep the replacement and evergreen state, they often need to consume a lot of nutrients. Therefore, whether it is water culture or soil culture of Guanyin bamboo, it is very important to supplement nutrients scientifically. Because the plant in the case of lack of fertilizer, it will often cause the phenomenon of yellow leaves, that is, lack of fertilizer yellow leaves.
If it is soil culture, you can apply dilute fertilizer to it regularly to ensure that there are sufficient nutrients in the basin to support its growth and avoid the phenomenon of yellow leaves; if it is water culture, it is recommended to drop a few drops of nutrient solution to replenish the nutrients in the water.
Of course, if the topdressing is too much or the concentration of nutrient solution is too high, it will also damage the root system of Guanyin bamboo, and the plant will still have withered and yellow stems and leaves after rotting roots. Therefore, usually, in addition to timely supplement of nutrients, but also need to control the concentration of fertilizer, supplement nutrients need to be carried out scientifically, so as to achieve the purpose of topdressing and avoid fertilizer damage at the same time.

What if the Finch plum loses its leaves?
The loss of leaves in bonsai plants is a very distressing thing, and I believe many bonsai friends who like to grow bonsai plants have encountered it. The reasons for the loss of leaves in different bonsai plants are not the same, and even the phenomena are not exactly the same. For deciduous trees, they lose their leaves in autumn and winter.
