Maintenance methods of potted rubber trees
Do you have any potted rubber trees? Rubber tree is a common plant in our life. Because of its thick and large leaves, dark green light and high ornamental value, rubber tree is often planted as a family pot. But in the process of planting and breeding, how should we maintain? The following editor will share with you the conservation methods of potted rubber trees.
First, watering and moisturizing
Because rubber trees like to be moist but afraid of waterlogging and are not resistant to drought, they should always keep the basin soil moist in spring and autumn. But in summer, due to the high temperature and hot weather, the leaves of the rubber tree are huge and the water transpiration is strong, so we should insist on watering every morning and evening. At the same time, it is also necessary to spray more foliar water and surface water to cool and moisturize.
It is advisable to keep the basin soil slightly moist in winter, but if the temperature is kept at about 10 °C, it should be watered properly, so as to avoid the phenomenon of falling leaves because the basin soil is too dry. After all, rubber trees prefer a moist growth environment.
Second, sufficient light
Since we usually plant rubber trees as family potted plants, the original plants must be placed in a window with smooth ventilation and adequate light facing south for maintenance. And if the potted plants are usually placed on the outdoor balcony or in the courtyard, when the temperature is as low as 10 °C, they should be moved to indoor maintenance in time, because the cold resistance of rubber trees is poor, otherwise they are prone to frostbite.
And when the weather clears up, let it bask in the sun more and keep the basin soil moist at ordinary times. After the temperature warms up, the potted plants can usually be moved outdoors for maintenance between late April and early October. After all, outdoor ventilation is smoother and the light is more abundant. This is very beneficial to the growth of potted rubber trees.
III. Soil distribution science
Rubber trees prefer fertile and loose sandy loam, and the allocation of soil must be scientific when potted. Generally, rotten leaf soil, garden soil and river sand can be mixed and used as culture soil. Of course, when potting the rubber tree, we can also add a small amount of cake fertilizer to the basin as base fertilizer.
4. Change the basin regularly
Not only that, changing pots is also a key link in raising rubber trees. For young plants, it is generally appropriate to change the pot every other year. In the growing season, compound fertilizer is generally applied every 3 weeks to promote its growth, and it is recommended to apply a small amount of potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution, so that the plant grows better.
