Potted jasmine not only has high ornamental value, but also exudes pleasant fragrance. Put it in the indoor environment for maintenance, when flowering can bring a room full of fragrance. Not only that, jasmine can also be made into tea, which is also fragrant and delicious.

However, many novice potted friends always encounter the phenomenon of yellowing leaves and falling leaves in the process of planting jasmine in the family. This is undoubtedly a blow to us. So, what if the jasmine leaves turn yellow and fall off? Combined with my own practice, the editor summarizes the causes of this problem as follows:

I. Environmental change

Before blooming, jasmine may only have luxuriant branches and leaves, which does not seem to be so beautiful. Therefore, many potted friends move it outside before flowering so that it can fully receive light to promote flowering. In fact, there is nothing wrong with doing so, but many friends because of its flowering aroma, so also want to let its aroma can permeate the whole room. So simply move it to indoor maintenance.

In fact, this is very disadvantageous to the growth of jasmine. First of all, the flowering period will move it from the outdoor environment to the indoor environment, the maintenance environment has undergone tremendous changes, the plant needs to adapt to the indoor environment, so 01:30 will affect its normal growth. In addition, the ventilation is relatively poor and the light is weak in the indoor environment, so the plant is easy to affect its normal growth, followed by the phenomenon of yellow leaves and falling leaves.

Second, the soil quality becomes worse.

Jasmine flowers prefer fertile and loose, original breathable and permeable, acidic soil environment rich in humus, such as soil containing some ferrous sulfate. Such soil is often more suitable for the growth of jasmine, and it is also very beneficial to its flowering. Once the soil quality becomes worse, such as the consolidation of basin soil, which affects the permeability of roots and the infiltration of water and fertilizer, the imbalance of soil acidity and alkalinity, and so on, may affect the normal growth of plants.

Therefore, when the soil is not suitable, the jasmine may appear the phenomenon of yellow leaves and falling leaves. Once this situation is found due to soil quality problems, on the one hand, we should apply some fertilizers such as ferrous sulfate to adjust the pH and improve the soil quality. If there is no ferrous sulfate, you can also use some rice washing water to make it more suitable for jasmine growth. At the same time, if the basin soil is hardened, the soil should be loosened properly.

Suffer from insect pests

If we find the phenomenon of yellow leaves and leaf loss in potted jasmine, we should not only exclude the above two factors, but also carefully observe whether the plant is infected with insect pests. Special attention should be paid to the observation of yellow leaves, which may be covered with worms. Under the attack of insect pests, it is easy to grow poorly.

The above three aspects are the main causes of leaf yellowing and leaf loss of potted jasmine. We must pay attention to them in the maintenance process and take protective measures at the same time. Don't just enjoy the beautiful white flowers and feel the pleasant fragrance while neglecting the daily management.
