Rich bamboo is not only suitable for viewing leaves, but also its implication is auspicious and beautiful, so many families are cultivated. However, it was originally well raised in spring, summer and autumn, but after winter, the plant is more prone to the phenomenon of yellow leaves, and even the possibility of death.

Keep warm and keep out the cold

We can find an old cloth and cut it into a rectangle, then wrap it on the outer wall of the water-raised rich bamboo container and fix it. Then use things such as waste newspapers to wrap the branches and leaves of the rich bamboo, but be careful not to seal the top so that it can exchange air. Finally, it can be placed in a warmer place indoors.

Second, change water regularly

Winter water supply rich bamboo water change should not be too frequent, original but also need to change water regularly, generally maintain a month or so to change water for it. And the water quality requirements are not particularly high, only need to use general water, there is no need to drop into the nutrient solution. However, if the water temperature should be guaranteed, it is generally appropriate to maintain it at about 20 °C.

Third, provide light

The climate is generally cold in winter. If there is a sunny day, remove the old cloth and waste newspapers that wrap the rich bamboo in time, and then let the plants bask in the sun. It is recommended to put the plant in the place where it is easiest to get to the sun in the indoor environment on a sunny day, so that it can fully receive light. Wait until the sun goes down and the temperature drops, and then re-wrap the plant with things such as old cloth and waste newspapers to keep warm and prevent freezing.

Phyllostachys pubescens is a tropical evergreen plant, which likes a warm growth environment at ordinary times, and the most suitable growth temperature is between 18 °C and 24 °C. When the ambient temperature is lower than 13 °C, it is easy to stop growing and enter a dormant state, and the lowest overwintering temperature should be kept above 10 °C.

However, Fugui bamboo also has a strong ability to tolerate shade and can survive in a weak light environment, but as long as the light intensity is not strong, it is recommended to let it bask in the sun, especially in winter. According to the above practice, we can ensure that the plant will not be frozen, but also can maintain a good state of growth.
