The method of making bonsai of ginkgo seedlings:

From March to April every year, two-to three-year-old seedlings are selected as raw materials before ginkgo biloba leaf buds germinate. First cut off the top of the main branch, then insert the thick iron wire deep into the soil along the base of the tree, and then tightly wrap it up against the trunk, and make a series of different forms of bonsai prototype, such as cliff, oblique recumbent, long you and so on, according to the tree system.

The spring-bound wire can be loosened from July to August, that is, before the height of summer, and the new branches germinated in that year can be reshaped with thin wire when the leaves fall behind in late autumn. From March to April of the following year, before the leaf buds germinated, they were raised in pots with soil balls, and soon became a bonsai of ginkgo biloba with simple shape and sparse branches and leaves.
