Huang Shiyu recalls that since the Alishan Spring Tea Competition was held in 1987, the earliest special prize was sold at a few thousand yuan per catty. In 2009, the special prize sold for 30,000 yuan, then it was raised to 36,000, 40,000, 60,000 yuan in sequence, and this year it was raised to 80,000 yuan.
