Cultivation and production techniques of Plum Blossom Bonsai
Making bonsai of plum blossoms is an art and a kind of culture. Countless predecessors have studied continuously to form today's plum blossom culture. learning and summarizing these cultures is a responsibility and obligation of our generation, especially our generation who love plum blossoms. let's inherit and carry forward this kind of culture and art.
The production method of bonsai cultivation is as follows:
Miao Yuan:
Plum piles are often cultivated by grafting and striping methods, and we can also directly look for graceful wild plum piles, or choose graceful apricot stakes as sticking wood for grafting.
Put on the basin:
It is usually carried out after falling flowers in early spring. Choose loose, good drainage, water and fertilizer conservation of the soil on the basin. The pot soil should not be too full, otherwise the air permeability is not good, which is not conducive to the growth and flowering of plum blossoms. The size and style of the basin should be determined with the plum pile, and the basin should not be too large, otherwise it is easy to cause the plum pile to grow.
Trim:
Potted plum has a strong ability to sprout and is easy to send too many branches, so after flowering every year, 2-4 buds should be left in a year. When pruning the annual branches of potted plum, scissors should be cut from the opposite side of the bud to make the cut into a 45-degree angle bevel, the top of the cut is flat with the tip of the bud, and the bottom of the cut is flat with the bud base.
Shape:
According to the shape of plum pile, it can be made into straight dry type or oblique dry type, curved type and cliff type and so on. The technique adopts the methods of brown silk flat binding, rough binding and rough cutting. After flowering, make a strong cut to the branch, keep 2-3 buds at the base of the branch, and cut off the remaining branches. The branches left should be sparse, not tight. When the new tip grows to about 10 cm, cut it thinly.
Fertilization:
We should follow the principle of from less to more, from light to thick, step by step, so as to avoid premature excessive concentration and root injury to death. During the growing period of potted plum, water and fertilizer should be applied once a week, and foliar fertilizer should be sprayed 2-3 times a month to promote flower bud formation.
Main points of fertilization: 1. Water and fertilizer should be applied when the basin soil is dry. 2. Weed and loosen the soil beforehand. 3. Don't use raw fertilizer. Don't apply fertilizer on rainy days. 5. Fertilize well in cloudy days or in the evening.
