Peach has always been very popular in China, in addition to the delicious peach, in fact, the gum secreted on the trunk of peach trees, commonly known as peach gum, can also be used as an adhesive. Peach blossom is also one of the commonly used color seedlings, the beautification effect is very good, and it is also a common variety in the indoor decoration plants. Next, I would like to introduce the quick method of peach bonsai.
I. Variety selection
Bonsai peach is mainly ornamental, and it mainly selects good late-maturing varieties with early fruit, easy flower formation, large fruit and good quality, such as Chinese Birthday Bun with Bean Paste Filling, Yangtun giant peach, Xinchuan Zhongdao, Zhongtao 21, Ruipan 4 and so on. There are many varieties of peach. When potted, we should choose varieties with large fruit, good color, short tree body, good natural shape, late maturity and long ornamental period. The common ones are birthday peach, flat peach and snow peach. Peach bonsai seedlings are usually obtained by grafting. General rootstock uses mountain peach, hairy peach and hairy cherry and so on.
II. Flowerpot selection
Generally choose the tile basin with a diameter of 30 cm and a height of 25 cm, because the texture of the tile basin is loose and porous, and it is easy to remove the excess water in the basin and the circulation of air, which is suitable for the development of the root system, cheap and light, and convenient to use.
III. Preparation of potted soil
Nutritious soil should not only be nutritious, but also have good permeability. There are two general preparation methods, one is 4 parts of garden soil, 4 parts of humus soil, 2 parts of slag and sand, this kind of nutrient soil is suitable for newly transplanted seedlings, and the other method is 6 parts of garden soil, 2 parts of humus soil and 2 parts of slag. This method is mostly suitable for the cultivation of adult seedlings.
IV. Planting in pots
Peach germination is very strong, generally annual seedlings on the pot, flowering in the same year. You can watch the results in the second year. With basin, you can choose plain pouring basin, purple sand basin or wooden basin and so on. The basin soil is suitable to use loose, breathable, slightly acidic or slightly alkaline soil with PH value of 4.5-7.5.
1. Planting period: it should be put on the pot after sprouting in spring or falling leaves in autumn. At this time, the plant growth is relatively slow, storage nutrients, easy to root after the pot, easy to survive.
2. Seedling selection: seedlings with developed root system, more whisker roots, suitable stem diameter and height, beautiful tree shape, uniform branches and strong growth should be selected.
3, pot method: first check whether the bottom of the flowerpot is unobstructed, and then cover the hole with the convex surface of the broken pot to avoid soil leakage or blockage. When planting, the root should be stretched and closely connected with the soil, the planting depth should be just over the original soil surface of the seedling, the grafting interface should be exposed to the soil surface, and the basin soil should be installed to 80% soil for irrigation, and water should be thoroughly watered after putting on the basin.
Fifth, peach tree shape: the tree type should be strange, novel, beautiful, generous, root exposure, dense branches, compact plant shape as the standard, generally there are three kinds of tree shape, that is, the trunk is single, straight and upright, with distinct levels, uniform fruit distribution, and a sense of standing; curved trunk: the zigzag shape of the trunk is curved upward, mostly two layers, shaped like a wandering dragon. Oblique dry type: the trunk is inclined, generally slightly curved, the crown is partial to one side, tilted out of the basin, interesting.
1. Understand the physiological characteristics of peach.
The flower bud differentiation period of potted peach in North China is about the first ten days of July. the flower bud is pure flower bud and grows in the leaf axile. compared with the leaf bud, the shape of the leaf bud is large. If it is a compound bud, that is, when more than two buds are growing side by side, there are leaf buds in the middle and flower buds on both sides. These leaf buds germinate in the same year, which are called secondary or tertiary branches. In general, the flower bud quality of the primary branch is good, followed by the secondary branch and the tertiary branch. We must have a good grasp of these characteristics in order to protect flowers and fruits.
2. Shaping and pruning
Plastic pruning, including winter pruning, summer pruning, flower and fruit thinning, etc. The main purpose of winter pruning is to maintain the tree shape, to prevent over-scattered, over-land development, and to determine the fruit branch, the amount of pruning is often more than half. The commonly used techniques are shrinking, sparse and intercepting. The purpose of summer pruning is to prevent overgrowth and promote flower bud differentiation. The common methods are de-sprouting (erasing one of the competing shoots, latent buds and one of the two buds germinating on a node), coring (suitable for prosperous branches, it can be carried out many times according to its growth), branch twisting (suitable for strong upright branches), ring cutting and root pruning. Flower thinning and fruit thinning is mainly for over-dense flowers and fruits. The amount of flowers of potted peaches is very large, if there is no thinning of flowers and fruits, it will cause excessive consumption of nutrients, weaken the tree potential, cause falling flowers and fruits, and even have flowers and fruits.
