Planting technique of cyclamen (method)
Cyclamen is a perennial bulb flower of Primulaceae. At present, it is cultivated for more than one year in potted flower production. Because of its wide variety, unique flower shape, bright color, long flowering period and Christmas, New Year's Day and Spring Festival, it is deeply loved by people and has become an enduring Lunar New year potted flower. Demand is the second largest potted flower after orchids in the Japanese market, and cyclamen is listed as one of the top ten potted flowers in the Dutch flower market. In recent years, the sales of cyclamen in major provinces and cities are ranked in the top ten. With the development of economy, the demand for cyclamen potted flowers will increase year by year. The following is an introduction to cyclamen planting techniques (methods):
Soil:
Cyclamen culture soil can use humus soil, forest rotten leaf soil, furnace ash and so on, and add appropriate amount of calcium carbonate and other chemicals to prepare. This kind of soil is relatively loose, which is helpful to the growth of cyclamen. During cultivation, we should pay attention to the size of the container, gradually increase and can not use large pots to cultivate small seedlings. The sandy loam with good permeability was used (formula: rotten leaf soil, peat, river sand, mountain mud according to 3, 1, 3, 3, 3).
Lighting:
Temperature and light have certain effects on the growth and development of cyclamen. In the whole process, we need to start with the temperature and consider prolonging the flowering period. When the number of flowers decreases in late April, the flowers need to be removed from the greenhouse and cultivated in a well-ventilated place. Climate change, suitable temperature and light will make cyclamen grow a batch of scape and continue to blossom. In the Yangtze River basin and its southern region, the leaves gradually turn yellow after May, which is a reflection of the rise in temperature. At this time, watering needs to be controlled. In summer, conditional cooling equipment should be used to lower the temperature of the environment.
Temperature:
The growth temperature of cyclamen is suitable at 10-22 ℃, and the temperature during the day and night should be kept at 8-10 ℃. Flowers can also bloom if the night temperature is controlled at about 7-8 ℃, but the florescence will be delayed slightly; if it is lower than 6 ℃, it will not blossom normally. Room temperature should be kept at 15 ℃ to 18 ℃, lower temperature can prolong florescence, too high temperature will shorten florescence, flower color will become lighter, the lowest can be kept above 5 degrees.
Humidity: keep the humidity at about 60% 70%. Too little humidity will make the flowers smaller. Excessive humidity is easy to cause disease.
Watering:
Although cyclamen is drought-resistant, it is best to keep the soil moist during its growing season and pay attention to the fact that there is no stagnant water in the basin. Water frequently but less, don't get too wet. If the summer is not dormant, normal watering can be carried out, and the basin soil needs to be kept sweet and moist. After the Beginning of Autumn, he will enter the reproductive growth period. at this time, it is necessary to apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizer to control the growth of nutrition, promote the differentiation of flower buds and blossom.
Soaking pot and pouring along the wall of flowerpot, the former is recommended, which is relatively simple. Reason: cyclamen leaves are furry leaves, spraying on the page will make the leaves rot, cyclamen stalks had better not touch the water. Watering dry see wet, would rather dry not too wet, such as the law can be judged when the leaves slightly wilted watering, soaking time should not be too long, about 15 minutes.
Fertilization:
Cyclamen like fertile soil, but do not like thick fertilizer, turn over the basin need to apply some basic fertilizer, generally 1-2 weeks can be fertilized once, pay attention to thin fertilizer diligently. After several months of vegetative growth, organic fertilizer is applied, flowers are watered with water, and fertilization should be stopped when the temperature can not be controlled in summer.
Change the basin: generally dormant bulbs begin to sprout in mid-September, change the basin immediately, do not cover the soil without bulbs. When the cyclamen bulb which has just changed the basin sends new roots, it should not be watered too much to prevent rotten balls, and the basin soil should be slightly dry.
Cultivation attention
1. Change the basin at the right time: generally, dormant bulbs begin to sprout in mid-September, change the basin immediately, do not cover the soil without bulbs. When the cyclamen bulb which has just changed the basin sends new roots, it should not be watered too much to prevent rotten balls, and the basin soil should be slightly dry.
2. Pay attention to ventilation and shading: pay attention to indoor ventilation and shading at any time during the growth period. When the leaves are luxuriant, open the basin distance so as not to cause the leaves to turn yellow and rot. Cyclamen is in full bloom around the Spring Festival, and ventilation should be adjusted in sunny days to avoid excessive indoor humidity, causing flowers to wither and pedicels to rot. The filling period is when the temperature rises, the amount of water increases, strictly prevent indoor temperature and humidity is too high, pay attention to ventilation regulation, so as not to cause flower stem rot and fruit mildew. In the middle of June, the leaves began to turn yellow and fall off, and the corms entered the dormant period. Dormant bulbs are placed in a well-ventilated, cool place and maintain a certain degree of humidity. Too wet bulbs are easy to rot and too late to sprout and blossom.
3. Strengthen fertilizer and water management: apply fertilizer once every ten days during the growth and development period of cyclamen, and gradually see more sunlight, so as not to make the petiole grow too long and affect the appearance. When the pedicel is pulled out to budding, apply bone powder or superphosphate once more. In the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, New Year's Day can blossom around. Stop applying nitrogen fertilizer during flowering, and control watering, especially in rainy and snowy days, water can not be poured on flower buds and tender leaves, otherwise it is easy to rot and affect normal flowering. After flowering, bone powder was applied again to facilitate fruit development and seed ripening. The fruit began to mature before and after May. After harvest, the seeds were peeled off and stored in a ventilated place to dry. In the early stage of cyclamen growth, 20mur20 general fertilizer can be used, that is, nitrogen content (N) 20%, phosphorus content (P2O5) 20%, potassium content (K2O) 20%. The special fertilizer for potted flowers can be used at flowering stage, 15mur15Mel 20 water-soluble and efficient nutrient solution.
