Planting technique of wheatgrass
Ice grass, also known as ice vegetable, was first planted in Africa and was introduced in recent years. It is a very popular green dish in the market in recent years. It is rich in nutrition and delicious in taste. It can not only supplement nutrition for the human body, but also play a role in beauty and prevention. So how to grow wheatgrass? Let's get to know it.
1. Sowing seeds
When sowing, wheatgrass is the most important way of reproduction, its seeds are very small, so before sowing seeds need to soak seeds to promote germination, can be used to raise seedlings, generally using 200-hole seedling plate for sowing, generally sowing 3 seeds per hole. Because the seeds are very small, so do not cover thick soil, control the temperature at about 20 degrees, which is conducive to seed germination, in the low temperature environment to use the thermostat. After 35-40 days of sowing, transplanting can be carried out when the seedlings grow 4-5 leaves. Because the root system of wheatgrass is underdeveloped, in order to improve the survival rate, it can be transferred to the nutrition cup for cultivation, and then planted after about half a month.
2. Colonization
Wheatgrass has strong drought tolerance, so the plots with loose soil, good drainage and good air permeability should be selected for border cultivation. When planting, put a small amount of phosphate fertilizer in the holes dug on the border surface, generally controlling the row spacing of 40-50 cm and the plant spacing of 30-40 cm. Water once after planting, but be sure not to flood sprinkler irrigation.
3. Temperature and moisture
Planting wheatgrass temperature and water is more important, it likes to grow in the environment of 20-30 degrees, especially in summer is very sensitive to high temperature, should take timely cooling treatment. In addition, wheatgrass has strong drought tolerance, so there is no need for frequent watering when planting, just proper watering when the soil is dry, too much watering will not only affect its growth, but may also cause death in serious cases.
4. Harvest
After growing up, the harvesting of wheatgrass should also pay attention to methods, which can be collected directly with scissors, and most of them can be harvested directly two months after sowing. At this time, it needs to be harvested from the side branches of wheatgrass. After harvest, it should be stored in a low temperature environment. In addition, pre-cooling yield should be carried out immediately after harvest. If the ambient temperature is too high, it may lead to the deterioration of wheatgrass.
