Cold tolerance, not high temperature tolerance, suitable temperature for growth is 15℃ to 25℃, flower bed cultivation above-5℃ can safely overwinter,-5℃ for a long time below the low temperature, leaves frozen, dry and yellow, when the temperature rises still sprout leaves, pregnant buds bloom

Baijingju prefers a sunny and cool environment with insufficient light and poor flowering. The suitable temperature for growth is from 15 ℃ to 25 ℃. The flower bed cultivation in the open field can safely survive the winter above-5 ℃, low temperature for a long time below-5 ℃, leaves frozen, withered and yellowed. When the temperature rises, it can still sprout leaves and blossom. White crystal chrysanthemum is not hot and humid. In summer, with the increase of temperature, the flowers wither faster and grow poorly over 30 ℃. Putting it in a cool and ventilated environment can prolong the flowering period.

White crystal chrysanthemum has strong adaptability and does not choose soil, but it grows best in loose, fertile and humid loam or sandy loam. Usually culture soil to keep moist, must not be too wet for a long time, resulting in rotten roots, affecting growth and development. Autumn sowing in warm areas, spring sowing mainly in North China, and the suitable temperature for seed germination is 15-20 degrees. Sprouting in 5-8 days. It blossoms 11-12 weeks after sowing.

The cultivated soil is the best in fertile loam or sandy loam which is rich in organic matter, good drainage and sunshine, insufficient sunshine and poor flowering. At ordinary times, the cultivated soil should be kept moist, and the fertility is poor in drought. Cut off the residual flowers immediately after the flower thanks, which can promote the emergence of new buds and then bloom. Sexual warmth, avoid high temperature and humidity, fertility temperature 15-25 degrees C, plum rain season to avoid long-term moisture caused by rot, can prolong the flowering period.

White chrysanthemum is propagated by sowing, usually from September to October in autumn, and the suitable temperature for germination is 15 ℃ to 20 ℃. When sowing, mix the seeds with a small amount of fine sand or culture soil and sow them on the seedling bed or seedling tray. The thickness of the covered soil should be no seeds, keep it moist and germinate for 5 to 8 days. After the seedling is grown, topdressing is applied slightly to promote the seedling to grow healthily, grow 4 to 5 true leaves and then move into the seedling bed or nutrition bowl to cultivate.

After one or two transplants in autumn, flower beds can be directly planted in spring when they see flowers. For those who have not been transplanted by inverted border after dividing seedlings in autumn, it is appropriate to plant in the flower bed or go out of the nursery to list in spring after the border with sufficient base fertilizer is preserved and formed. When planting, apply rotten leaf fertilizer or stables as base fertilizer, plant spacing of 15 cm. After planting, it should be watered every 7-10 days. Do not need to fertilize too frequently, apply dilute dung water every 3 weeks, ploughing once a month, and stop fertilizing after flowering in February.

During the growing period, Baijingju likes to have plenty of sunshine and is not tolerant to shade. After the white chrysanthemum is sown in autumn to promote strength, if there is no seedling transplant, the seedlings can be raised at the end of October, separated, and the roots will bring a little bit of persistent soil, and then grasp-the moist and fertile soil containing more humus and slightly sticky in advance. The two seedlings will be clutched into a lump in the center of the loam, stored in the yang border in turn, sprayed and moisturized, so as to promote the whisker root to flourish, the plant is small and strong, and it is not easy to wilt directly in the flower bed or on the market in spring.

During the growing period of white chrysanthemum, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer was applied every half a month, with a ratio of 2 ∶ 1 ∶ 2. White crystal chrysanthemum has many flowers and its florescence is very long, and it also needs to replenish phosphorus and potassium fertilizer in time. After the flower fade, if there are no seeds, you can cut off the residual flowers at any time, promote the lateral branches to produce new buds, increase the number of flowers, and prolong the flowering period.

Due to the long flowering period, the white chrysanthemum is fertilized every 20-30 days during the growth period or flowering period, so the culture soil should be kept moist and the residual flowers should be cut off immediately after blooming, which can promote the new bud to blossom again.

Although the white chrysanthemum is hardy, it is best to put the seedlings in a plastic greenhouse or cold room in winter, let them continue to grow, water and fertilize them timely, remove the buds in time, promote them to increase the crown diameter, and move into the outdoor or flower bed in the early spring of the next year, which can increase its ornamental effect.

Tips:

White crystal chrysanthemum blossoms poorly in the hot summer and is easy to die. If you dig up the cool place of transplantation, you can still blossom again in autumn.
