It is every flower friend's wish to love green and be close to nature. I believe everyone has their own beloved potted plants. We like the atmosphere of foliage plants, the beauty of foliage flowers, and the simplicity and elegance of bonsai. In fact, in addition to these potted plants with flowers and leaves, there is another kind of green plant that can also bring us joy, that is, potted vegetables, melons and fruits.

The planting method of potted cucumber should first collect the methods of accelerating sprouting and raising seedlings, generally sowing in early spring from January to March and planting in summer and autumn from June to August. If there is indoor heating in winter, seeds can be sowed all year round, spring sowing is used to sow seedlings after seed sowing or plastic film mulching, direct seeding or dry seed direct seeding in summer and autumn.

Seed soaking and sprouting is widely used in cucumber sowing. Blanch seeds with 50-55 ℃ warm water for 10 minutes and stir constantly to prevent scalding. Then soak in warm water for about 30 ℃ for 4-6 hours, scrub clean, drain, moisturize and germinate in a 28-30 ℃ incubator or warm place, and generally germinate within 3 days. In particular, it is worth noting that once sprouting must be sown, the seeds are laid flat, and the thickness of the covered soil is twice the diameter of the seeds. Generally, half a centimeter because the volume in the basin is limited, the nutritious soil must be rich in organic matter and nutrients. There are several formulations of nutritious soil for reference:

(1) take 60% of the fertile sandy loam soil (vegetable fields that have not planted melon crops), 20% of the dry dung, 20% of the rotten barnyard manure, and add 200 grams of carbendazim per cubic meter of cultivated soil.

(2) 50% of fertile soil, 40% of ring fertilizer, 10% of furnace ash, 1.5 kg of diammonium phosphate per cubic meter, 0.5 kg of potassium sulfate and 200 grams of carbendazim.

(3) 40% of fertile soil and 30% of peat soil. 20% of rotten horse dung and 10% of rotten chicken manure, with 200 grams of carbendazim per cubic meter. After the nutritious soil is prepared, it is put into the bottom of the pot and around, leaving a certain position in the middle, so that the seedlings with soil blocks can be planted.

Today, I would like to introduce potted cucumbers:

1. Seed selection

You can go to the seed store to buy varieties suitable for potted plants.

2. Sowing seeds

Because it is planted indoors, it can be sown at any time. When sowing, soak the seeds in warm water for one night, then sow the soaked seeds in the prepared fertile and loose soil, at a moderate distance, not too crowded; finally, gently cover the seeds with about two centimeters of soil. Put the flowerpot in a warm place where the sun shines and keep the soil moist.

3. Keep seedlings

Seedlings unearthed according to the size of the flowerpot, reasonable close planting, generally long, generally 1 leaf 1 heart, 15-17 days can be inter-seedling, if there are other pots can also be transplanted.

4. Management

The seedlings left behind grow very fast, and the supply of fertilizer and water should be timely, so that thin fertilizer should be applied frequently, and it is best to use organic fertilizers such as rotten cakes and water. Keep the soil moist and sunny throughout the growing period. When the melon seedlings grow to about four or five centimeters above the ground, they will begin to grow vines and blossom. At this time, it is all the more necessary to ensure the supply of water. If the weather is hot, you can water them in the morning and evening, so that you can produce more melons. While strengthening the fat and water, don't forget to build a bracket for the cucumber so that the vine can climb.

If the growth is very fast, you can use the method of sharpening to prevent it from growing too fast upward, which can also promote more fruit. The time to hit the top must be mastered well, not too early, so there are too few melons.

Give your balcony a different green bar. I believe that potted plants make life better!
