Methods and steps of hydroponic culture of hyacinth bulbs
Hyacinth is one of the famous flower varieties, and it is also a flower variety suitable for hydroponics. Hyacinth gives people a kind of elegant and fresh feeling, which will be more warm when used to decorate the home. Hydroponic hyacinth is one of the most easily cultivated varieties of hydroponic flowers. Because the main nutrient source of hyacinth flowering is bulb root, so hyacinth hydroponic culture can also produce very plump flowers, so what is the hydroponic culture method of hyacinth? This article summarizes the experience of the previous two years and the feedback of flower friends.
Step 1: put the seed head in a wide-mouthed glass bottle in December and add a little charcoal to help with disinfection and antisepsis. The amount of water is limited to not touching the bottom of the bulb. Then put it in a dark place and cover the bottle with a black cloth. Room temperature 5-10 ℃. Because darkness helps hyacinth take root. In this way, after more than 20 days, the roots germinate in total darkness, and then they can be exposed to sunlight outdoors, which increases gradually to 7 hours after 1: 2 hours a day at the beginning.
The second step: after the root system fully grows, move to the bright place where there is no direct light, the temperature is controlled above 10 ℃, change the water once every 2-3 days, and keep the water clean. If the water is immersed to the root, there is no need to water or fertilize.
The third step: after the leaves grow, gradually increase the light, after budding can accept direct light, but should pay attention to often change the direction of light, so that leaves and stems grow strong and straight, to prevent askew to one side. The temperature gradually rises to about 20 ℃ and the water is changed every 3-4 days until the flowers fade.
Step 4: after the hyacinth flower fades, the flower stem should be cut off and the bulb should be planted in the basin to enrich the bulb. When the leaves wither, dig out the bulbs and collect them, and they can be rejuvenated in the basin in autumn. If the bulb is well preserved, it can still bloom in the second year, but the flower will be short and the scape will atrophy, which is mainly due to the degeneration of the bulb. Therefore, hyacinth cultivation is better to buy new bulbs after planting for one year.
Key points of hydroponics:
1. The water level of hydroponic culture is high, and the best water level should be at the initial stage of hydroponic culture, when the water level just reaches the root plate, and when the root grows out, the water level is lower than that of the root plate.
2. the water quality becomes worse, resulting in rotten roots. at present, there are two common ways to cultivate hyacinth water, one is to change the water regularly to keep the water clean, and the other is to only add water without changing water, both of which have their own advantages and disadvantages. changing water can easily lead to root damage, while adding water without changing water, the water quality may get worse.
3, eat too much nutrient solution, in fact, hydroponic hyacinth does not need to use nutrient solution.
4. The bottle of hydroponic culture does not leave an air vent. Hydroponic culture is different from soil cultivation. Hydroponic culture should give the root system room to breathe, so in addition to some accidents when the water level is low, we should also pay attention to maintaining proper air circulation so that the roots can breathe.
Note:
1. The hyacinth bulb bought by many people has already taken root in the florist, but the step of black sealing and sprouting the bulb can be omitted.
2. There should be 1cm-2cm space on the water surface from the bottom of the bulb. Do not submerge the water over the bottom of the bulb.
3. During shading, it is best to keep the temperature at 9: 10 degrees, so that the roots will grow quickly.
4. If the neck shrinks, the blade can be sprayed with water properly.
5. It is best to keep the temperature above 17 degrees when flowering.
