Coriander is a kind of vegetable that many people like very much, but it is also a kind of vegetable that many people hate very much. However, on the whole, the market demand of coriander in our country is still very large. The seed coat of coriander is relatively hard, so we also need to do a good job of seed germination and improve the germination rate before sowing. So how exactly should we do it? Today, the editor will bring you the method of accelerating the germination of coriander seeds. Let's have a look.

1. Seed selection and shell rubbing

Cilantro has two varieties of large and small leaves, large-leaf coriander plant is relatively high, leaves, stems and so on are relatively large, and the taste is not very strong. On the other hand, lobular cilantro is the opposite of big-leaf coriander, which is also more popular in the market. Because the seed coat of coriander seeds is relatively hard, we should first rub the shell open before planting, and then separate the seeds. Then according to their own planting habits and conditions to do a good job of sprouting. Coriander seeds like cool, so the germination should be carried out in a low-temperature and humid environment.

2. Sprouting by well water

As I just said, parsley is a cool vegetable, so when sprouting, we can use well water for sprouting. First soak the parsley in cold water for 3-5 hours, then remove the seeds and put them in the bag. Then put the bag in the well, but be careful not to put it into the water. The distance between the bag and the surface of the water should be kept at about 8 cm. But we can sprinkle the seeds with well water every day and put them in the right place. In about 7 days, coriander seeds will germinate, and when about 40% of the seeds are found to be white, they can be sown at the right time.

3. Pit accelerates sprouting

The acceleration of germination in the pit is also carried out by making use of the cool characteristics of coriander seeds. First of all, soak the seeds in cold water of about 18 degrees for about 12-24 hours. In the process of soaking the seeds, the water should be changed properly. After soaking the seeds, the seeds should be taken out and dried. Then put the seeds in a wet cloth bag, and then bury the cloth bag in the pit for about 20 hours to promote germination. Attention should be paid to keeping the soil temperature low, which can also effectively improve the germination rate of coriander seeds. After half of the seeds are white, they can be sown. After sowing, attention should be paid to covering the soil to promote the emergence of seeds.

4. Sprouting in refrigerator

Before sowing the coriander seeds, the shell of the seeds should be rubbed open, and then the seeds should be soaked and germinated. Soak the seeds with gibberellin and other agents for about 11 hours, wash the seeds after soaking, and then soak the seeds with cold water for about 10 hours. Finally, remove the seeds and wash them again, after drying the water. Then pack it in a wet bag and put it in a 9-degree refrigerator. The time is controlled at about 5-7 days, take out the seeds and wash them every day, and then turn them over. When about 30% of the seeds are white, they can be sown properly.
