It is not difficult to set up a family vegetable garden. If you live in a villa or on the ground floor or on the top floor, it is best to have a house with a small garden. If you don't have it, you can enjoy home gardening as long as you have a balcony or well-lit windowsill. Cultivation utensils can be used for special cultivation boxes, flower pots, or discarded plastic boxes, washbasins, etc.

Potted strawberry is a new breed, especially suitable for indoor ornamental cultivation. From the perspective of visual beauty, strawberry leaves are dark green and fruits are bright red. If they can be planted in natural and simple pottery pots and crockery pots, they will complement each other. Here is how to plant potted strawberry seeds:

1. Sowing method

1. Cleaning seeds

First, pour the seeds into warm water at 60-70℃ and wash them, and keep stirring until the water temperature drops to about 25℃.

2. Soak seeds

Continue to soak for 2-3 hours, remove and rub with hands until the seed coat is clean and shiny. Then rinse with clean water and cover with several layers of wet gauze.

3. Germination treatment

putting at 25-30 DEG C for germination. Three times a day (morning, noon and evening) wet gauze with warm water to keep seeds moist. After 60-70% of the seeds are exposed, they can be sown.

4. Sowing process

Strawberry seeds are small and must be carefully sown. It is best to mix some fine humus soil with sifted fine sandy loam and fill the flowerpot with it, and sow it in the pot. After sowing, sprinkle the prepared mulch evenly over the pot. Cover thickness 0.3-0.5 cm is appropriate, and with straw mat shade, after waiting for Qi seedlings scattered.

II. Seedling process

1. Watering

Seedling stage is not suitable for flood irrigation, sprinkler irrigation can be used to meet water supply. After the seedlings grow to 6 true leaves, small water flood irrigation can be used to prevent silting seedlings.

2. Weeding

Young seedlings should be removed in a timely manner weeds, strawberries have weeds do not want to grow well.

3. Replenishment of seedlings with the same seedlings

When the seedlings grow 3-5 true leaves, they can be transplanted, densified and thinned.

4. Topdressing

When the seedlings grow to 6 true leaves, the first topdressing can be carried out, and it is appropriate to apply water-soluble fertilizer or urea. It is recommended to apply rich-macroelement water soluble fertilizer.

5. Maintenance

Strawberry seedling diseases mainly have withered damping-off, just a simple hit fungicide immediately. When the seedlings grow to three leaves and one core, they can be transplanted into pots. Garden planting friends generally use fertilizer, with water fertilizer; potted friends can dissolve water-soluble fertilizer urea in water to make thin fertilizer spraying. The first topdressing, the amount should be less. After every 20-30 days to chase fertilizer, with the growth of seedlings, fertilizer can be appropriately increased.

III. Transplanting in upper pot

At a temperature of 25 ° C, seedlings can begin to emerge 15 days after sowing. When the seedlings grow 2 true leaves, they are divided into pots, and when 4-5 leaves are grown, they can be transplanted.

1. Flower pot selection

Generally round pots, 25-32 cm in diameter, 20-25 cm high, 3 plants per pot.

2. Preparation of matrix

Mix peat soil with fully fermented cow dung and castor cake organic fertilizer evenly, spray hymexyl sterilization on a plate for later use.

3. Transplanting time

The seedlings can be transplanted after 3-4 months of growth, and the best transplanting time is from the end of July to the middle of August, and the next spring.

4. Transplanting process

After doing the above preparation work, you can transplant, transplant the cleaned strawberry seedlings to the seedling tray filled with substrate, pour water thoroughly, and then spray Plick sterilization.

5. Fertilizer and water management

Strawberry can blossom and bear fruit many times, nutrient consumption is much, want to strengthen nutrient supplement. Available organic fertilizer, bean cake, castor cake, sesame oil residue, etc., add water decomposition fermentation, retting made into liquid fertilizer water. Usually topdressing once a week. Watering once a day in the morning and evening. When watering, should be used in advance to warm the water, do not directly use well water or tap water irrigation.

Notes:

1. Strawberry seeds are small and must be fine when sowing. It is best to use seedling soil plus seedling tray, or seedling block plus seedling box, really do not have the conditions of a friend can use sifted fine sandy loam mixed with a part of the finer humus soil filled flowerpot, in the pot sowing.

2, before sowing first spray through water, spray through the seedling substrate, directly with potted friends can put the pot soil height below the flowerpot along one cm, tell the seeds evenly spread down, after sowing covered with sifted fine soil 0.1 cm or so, or do not cover the soil, as long as your seedling substrate is soft enough, the pot is covered with plastic film to keep the soil moist.
