When it comes to fragrant wood, Wenshan people are too familiar with it, but this familiarity is only a kind of awareness, and the comprehensive and in-depth understanding and research of fragrant wood has not been popularized by the public. In recent years, with the development of social economy, the development and utilization of fragrant wood has been greatly developed, and more and more show its practical economic value and aesthetic value, the popularity of the market and hot discussion are on the rise.

The fragrant wood leaves are small and dense, the new leaves and some old leaves in autumn and winter are red, the leaves and twigs touch fragrant, its wood density is high, and the old pile is easy to form more simple and vigorous, which is actually a good material for bonsai. The following is to introduce the planting method of fragrant wood-- how to cultivate fragrant wood old pile.

1. Cultivation time

The maximum transplanting time of fragrant wood stakes is from November to March of next year, during which the survival rate is very high, regardless of whether with or without soil balls.

2. Soak the root system

Fragrant wood is difficult to grow because of its underdeveloped roots, so it is best to buy piles with some soil masses if possible; if there is no soil, it is generally necessary to soak them with rooting powder for more than 3 hours before going on the pot.

3. Disinfection treatment

After soaking, I usually use potassium permanganate tablets for disinfection before soaking. Just dissolve one piece in a basin of water and soak for about 10 minutes. If the soil used is the old soil that used to plant flowers and trees, the used disinfection solution can be watered at the time of planting.

4. Select the flowerpot

The flowerpot is selected according to the size of the pile and the distribution shape of the root disk.

5. Matrix preparation

I used two portions of mountain soil, two portions of wind fossils and one part of coal ash. Proportion is not important, the most important thing is to keep the basin soil loose and unconsolidated. Do not mix the base fertilizer, plain soil is conducive to rooting, and the phosphorus and potassium in coal ash can also promote root. Put some broken foam and tiles at the bottom of the basin to protect the soil and drain water, and put a layer of coarse material on top to drain and breathe.

6. Pile on the basin

This step is mainly to straighten out the fibrous root, fill the soil to about 1/3 to irrigate once, and then water it to about half of it, and fill it up and water it again. Keep sampling with bamboo sticks and thin sticks when watering to ensure that there is no gap between the root system and the soil in close contact.

7. Setting up shed and bagging

Build a scaffolding on the basin surface with bamboo slices, iron wires, thin sticks, etc., to keep the scaffolding high above the pile surface without touching the branches around. After setting up the scaffolding, bag it, seal it and put it in the shade. For the poor bagging of straight and high poles, you can wrap the film around the branches, regularly inject water to moisturize the branches, gently break the buds with bamboo sticks when you see sprouting, remove the upper film when the leaves are green enough, and those close to the bottom can be retained for a while.

8. Post-management

After that, open the bag every 10 days or so and see that the soil is dry and watered thoroughly. Do not uncover the bag as soon as you look at the arrival bud, punch holes in the bag when the new bud grows to more than 1 centimeter, add a few holes every few days, let the new bud slowly adapt to the external environment, and wait for the new bud to stretch out and turn green enough to be old and spicy enough to completely uncover the bag. But after uncovering the bag, you have to keep it in a cool environment for about half a month before you can put it outside.

Main points of cultivation:

The main results are as follows: 1. When digging piles and transplanting, all the main roots and thick roots are cut off along the bottom corner of the tree, and only the fibrous root is retained, which is convenient for limiting the size of pot planting and transplanting big trees.

After root cutting, seal with white latex, 502 glue, erythromycin eye ointment or thin mud. The thin rods of the upper branches and leaves should also be cut off at the same time, leaving only the branches rough and dry, and the cut is also sealed with white latex to prevent water evaporation.

2. The fragrant wood dug down the mountain should be planted in the soil as soon as possible, and the time should not exceed 4 days. Planting on the same day is the most ideal. The cultivation soil of fragrant wood should choose red small granular plain soil plus 20% sawdust, which requires good air permeability, and the raw soil is the best. In the process of cultivation, the soil is watered while the soil is watered, and then the soil is irrigated in turn, so that the soil is firm and the pile is stable.

After the soil is finished, there will be another layer of soil on the surface of the soil to wrap up the pole on the surface of the exposed soil. after gathering the soil, all the exposed poles should be wrapped in a film of moss, which is wrapped in a layer of film to keep the rod constant temperature and moisture.

3. After cultivation, the tree is planted in the sunny place and transferred to daily care. Watering depends on the weather conditions, at the beginning of about two weeks a flood thoroughly, a month later to carefully observe the germination of the film, generally 2 months or so began to sprout, the bud point is red.

If the bud point is found, the film can be allowed to grow when the bud point grows to the size of the rice grain, and the film is best broken on a cloudy day or in the morning. after 4 months or so, there are more and more bud points, when the film can be torn in a large area, but the film at the lower end of the rod and near the root should not be torn and left behind.

When the bud grows to about 10 centimeters, it can be fertilized properly, and a small amount of compound fertilizer can be watered with water. the fertilizer should be thin and cannot be applied more, or it can be watered with mutton dung water that has been soaked for 2 months. Watering follows the principle of no dry, no watering, watering and thorough watering. After one year of management, the fragrant wood crown is luxuriant and can be modeled after 2 years.
