Hydroponic Culture method of Cymbidium mongolica
The orchid is tall and straight in shape, bright and green in color, graceful, elegant and graceful; at the same time, it is strong, adaptable and extremely shady, so it is an excellent shade-loving foliage plant for indoor greening and decoration. It is suitable for home and office layout. Can be watched alone; can also be arranged with other flowering plants to set off the freshness and beauty of other flowers. In addition, it is also an excellent leaf material for modern flower arrangement.
One-leaf orchid not only has medicinal value, but also is a good plant for indoor greening and air purification. Friends who like to grow flowers and have a penchant for cleanliness seem to prefer hydroponic flowers and do not need close contact with the soil. They both raise flowers and have a small desire to meet their own desire to love cleanliness. The following is to introduce the hydroponic culture method of one-leaf orchid!
1. Choose the appliance
According to the shape of a leaf orchid, choose a suitable container, bottle, basin, jar, hydroponic container should look like a foil to one leaf orchid, complement each other. In short, whether it is purchased or made by yourself, it should look decent and elegant, and do not take an instrument and use it at will, so as not to affect the image and overall beauty of the orchid.
2. Remove the soil and wash the roots
We all know that the soil is organic matter and becomes inorganic after being converted to hydroponic culture, so before hydroponic culture, all organic matter attached to the roots should be cleaned so as not to affect the growth and the infection of diseases and insect pests after hydroponic culture.
The specific method of root washing is to dig the plant out of the basin, lift the stem with the right hand, gently hold the root with the left hand, and gently tap the root with the right hand to make the soil completely detached from the root system. Then soak the root in clean water for 15-20 minutes, gently wash the root with your hands, and change the water 2-3 times until the root is completely cleaned. There must be no soil left, which is the key link of hydroponic cultivation of a leaf orchid, and we must not be careless.
3. Prune the root system
After the soil is washed, it can be pruned properly according to the growth status of the plant. Cut off the old root, diseased root and yellowed leaves, because the hydroponic one-leaf orchid root is also the focus of viewing, so consider the beauty of shape when arranging the root system, after pruning, wash it again, and wash away the residue of root hair left by pruning, so as not to bring it into the water to cause pollution.
4. Root disinfection
After cleaning the roots, you also need to disinfect the roots. Prepare 0.1% potassium permanganate aqueous solution, soak the leaf orchid for 10-15 minutes, take it out and freshen it with clean water. Note that the root disinfection time should not be too long or too short, and the degree of potassium permanganate solution should not be too thick or too thin.
5. Conduct hydroponic culture
If it is a glass vase, because the glass is thicker and has a certain weight, you can carefully put a leaf of orchid along the root system into the vase to ensure that the plant is upright and can be fixed with some stones at the mouth of the bottle. Then add 2 stroke 3 water to the bottle to stretch the roots.
If it is a plastic vase, because it is relatively light, putting a leaf orchid may lead to top-heavy weight, so when hydroponic culture, add a certain weight of stone to the bottom of the bottle, and then insert the leaf orchid into the vase as before.
If it is a pot, tank or other cultivation utensils, or other flowerpots without bottom holes, the fixation of roots in the water should be considered when using.
6. Maintenance and management
Hydroponic one-leaf orchid should always get a sunny place, do not put it in a dark place for a long time, so that the leaves are easy to turn white and thin, thus losing their ornamental value.
Pay attention to heat preservation in winter, put it in a sunny place near the window during the day, and put glass bottles in plastic or cardboard boxes where there is no heating at night. If the leaves turn yellow or droop and have no spirit, it may be frostbite pull. At this time, we need to give it some measures to keep warm.
Then put it away from the doors and windows, and remember not to put it near the north. When changing water in winter, you can use warm water of 12 to 18 degrees to change water. Yilan has strong resistance and can pass the winter safely as long as you pay attention to management.
