How to plant potted dancing grass
Dance grass is a very magical plant, which is famous for swinging like dancing under the influence of temperature, light and sound. It is currently endangered and very rare. When the dancing grass swings, it makes people feel dazzling, but it also gives people a feeling of freshness and beauty, mystery and surprise.
Dance grass is widely used in gardens because of its dancing characteristics, and it is also a good material for making bonsai. It not only has high ornamental value, but also has good medicinal and health care value. So, how to grow dance grass as a potted plant? Today, the editor will share with you the planting method of dancing grass.
First, sowing and reproduction
Dancing grass can be sown to breed potted seedlings, but because its seeds are very hard, it usually takes several months to break the shell and sprout after sowing, so it is generally necessary to deal with planting before sowing. The main purpose is to soak the seeds, and then sow the seeds after the seeds are fully inflated.
Next, prepare the flowerpot, load it into the moist soil, or wet it after loading the soil, and then place the seeds at a certain distance. Finally, cover with a layer of fine soil about 2-3 cm thick and spray water evenly until the soil is moistened.
As long as the temperature is kept between 20 ℃ and 28 ℃ and the environment is relatively dark, it can sprout one after another after a week. Then put the seedlings in a sunny position that can receive scattered light to avoid direct sunlight. In the case of doing a good job of heat preservation and moisturizing, when the seedlings grow to a height of about 3-5 cm, we can divide the pots and plant them separately.
2. Upper basin colonization
First of all, we need to prepare the flowerpot and soil in advance. If the flowerpot is relatively large, we can plant 2-3 seedlings in it. However, when digging seedlings, we should be careful and act softly to avoid injuring the roots of seedlings or breaking them. Generally, we can transplant them with soil, which is more conducive to serving the basin.
Next, poke a hole of the right size and depth in the soil of the new basin and plant the seedlings into it. Pay attention to combing the outer roots of the seedlings so that they can unfold freely. Then cover the soil and water it once and put it in a cool and ventilated place to slow down the seedlings.
III. Maintenance and management
The maintenance and management of potted dancing grass is relatively simple, mainly to provide it with appropriate light, water and fertilizer management and pest control. As long as the growth environment is suitable, dancing grass seedlings are not only easy to take pots, but also quickly return to normal growth.
Because the dancing grass likes the light, it should be fully illuminated after taking the pot. if it is often lack of light, it will often cause the phenomenon of overgrowth. And in the process of receiving light, you should often turn the flowerpot so that the light can be fully received in all directions.
The watering of dancing grass is carried out after the surface soil dries. If the temperature is high, the sunshine time should be avoided and watered in the morning and evening as far as possible. A thin-nosed pot is usually used so that the watering is more uniform and the amount of water can be easily controlled. When the seedlings grow in the new pot for more than one month, we can fertilize them for the first time, and then fertilize them for the second time when they enter the flowering stage in about 2-3 months. Topdressing is often based on the application of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer, and water replenishment is done at the same time.
At the same time, dancing grass is vulnerable to diseases such as powdery mildew, charcoal maggot, leaf spot, root rot and so on, so prevention and control measures should be taken at ordinary times. Once the disease is infected, the infected part should be cut off and destroyed thoroughly, and in serious cases, medicine should be used in time.
