The imbalance of population structure is closely related to industrial decline. The crisis of aging, fewer children, population outflow and industrial decline is really taking place in Dongpian Village, Neipu Township, Pingtung County. Sichuan Yongsheng Technology Farm Xu Rongming and Dongbao Farm Huang Risheng, which have been promoting organic and friendly industries and communities for a long time, gathered eight farms in Dongpian Village to set up Taiwan's first village-based social enterprise, Dongpian Baoshi Village Co., Ltd., hoping to establish a common brand, expand access, and increase farmers' income, while 5% of the revenue will be returned to the community, focusing on care for the elderly.
The social enterprise model of Baoshi Village can not be achieved overnight, and the centripetal force of the villagers comes from the foundation of community construction and rural regeneration over the years. Huang Risheng, chief executive of Baoshi Village, said, "the people who live here are the biggest gems." If the introduction of enterprises to create 100 jobs, this is a small number of people benefit, local creation should be local people willing to participate, share, common prosperity, and common survival.
