For the cultivation of dahlias, potted plants are generally more difficult than ground planting. When planting dahlias, we can separate the tubers, dry the wounds, and then plant them in pots. Today, the editor will share with you the method and process of planting Dahlia tubers.

1. First of all, we still need to make a good drainage layer at the bottom of the flowerpot, we can use stones or large particles of ceramsite, or even tiles.

2. Next, cover the drainage layer with a layer of soil, and then evenly sprinkle a layer of pure green organic fertilizer-sheep manure-as the base fertilizer.

3. Then continue to cover a layer of soil and cover the whole soil until it covers more than half of the basin.

4. Then put the Dahlia tuber which we dried the wound in advance in the middle of the flowerpot, pay attention to control the planting height, do not let its buds be buried in the soil, otherwise, it is easy to cause rot.

5. After placing the Dahlia tubers in the pot, continue to fill the soil under the condition that the buds are facing up, until there is still a distance of about 2 cm from the edge of the basin. At the same time, make sure that the buds on the tubers are exposed outside the soil surface and do not cover them all.

6. After planting Dahlia tubers, what we need to do is to water them. When watering, first drop a few drops of rooting liquid into the water, about 5-6 drops, do not add too much.

7. After mixing the rooting liquid with clear water, we watered it thoroughly as fixed root water for the first time. But we must be careful when watering. In order to avoid the flow of water washing away the loose soil and flushing out the buds of dahlias, we can put a small plastic bag in the basin and then slowly inject the water into the plastic bag until the water soaks the whole flowerpot.

After watering, we put the flowerpot in a place with plenty of light to maintain it. As the dahlia itself has buds, or grow buds, adapt to the light environment, so the new buds will not grow too high. Usually only in the absence of light will grow very tall, but also easy to lodge.

Potted dahlias are most prone to overgrowth due to lack of light, so if the plants we buy are short of light, they often grow to more than 1 meter tall. Therefore, usually maintenance must provide sufficient light, and you can regularly apply dwarf element to the plant until the end of flowering. It is usually sprayed once every half a month, and it is more appropriate to use it three times in a row.
