Water lilies are very popular, not only because they have beautiful flowers, but also because they are very easy to raise aquatic plants. If raised in pots, the ornamental effect is very good. And for many people who are afraid of trouble, they can directly buy ready-made seedlings and plant them back. As long as we can transplant according to the scientific method, it will be easy to feed. So, how to grow the newly bought water lilies?

As for the purchased water lily seedlings, we can buy either miniature or medium-sized seedlings. Miniature seedlings can be planted on the balcony at home, while medium-sized seedlings can be planted directly in pots or pots. After we buy back the water lily seedlings, we can unpack them and plant them.

First, take apart the packing bag of the bowl lotus seedling, and then take out the water lily seedling. The general purchase of water lily seedlings is carefully packaged by businesses, mostly wrapped in water moss to facilitate moisturizing. After removing the water moss, we can see the root of the water lily at a glance. After removing the water moss from the root of the water lily, soak it in clean water for 2 hours to allow it to fully absorb water.

Taking advantage of the time to soak the seedlings of water lilies, we can prepare the mud. Potted water lilies had better use pond mud, if not, we can also use pastoral soil or mountain mud instead, but if we can find some yellow sand to mix together, the effect will be better. Then inject some water, mix the soil and water well, and the paste is the best.

After fully mixing the muddy water, let it precipitate, and at the same time pour out the excess water on the surface, especially the water that looks dirty. Generally need to precipitate for more than half an hour, and then clean up the blisters and dirty water on the surface. After two hours of soaking in the water lilies, we can plant them with precipitated soil.

When planting water lilies, we can usually adopt the way of setting pots, that is, prepare a flowerpot, prepare a large vat, plant water lilies in the flowerpot, and then put the flowerpot into the vat. The size of the flowerpot should be 30 cm in diameter and 16 cm in depth, while the large cylinder should be 41 cm in caliber and 48 cm in depth.

Before planting, we can add some bottom fertilizer to the bottom of the basin. It is recommended to use slow-release and long-acting fertilizer to promote flowers. Not too much, just pour half a package of general-purpose bags into the bottom of the basin. Then add the precipitated soft paste soil to the basin, about half a basin. Then prepare to plant the soaked water lily seedlings into it. But if we plant in the mud, we can trim the roots properly, use scissors to cut off the useless black withered roots, residual roots and other bad forms of roots, and then plant them into the pot.

In the process of planting, pay attention to the need to straighten out the roots of water lilies, then one hand will swing away one position in the pot mud, and then the other will let go of the roots of water lilies, then release the muddy hand and gently swing the soil around the plants. until all the roots of the water lily are buried in the mud. Do not press the root of the water lily into the soil directly, otherwise its root system may be damaged.

After the water lily seedlings are planted in the pot, we slowly inject water along the inner edge of the flowerpot until the water surface is close to the edge of the pot. After that, we have to clean the mud left on the edge of the pot to make the flowerpot look cleaner. At the same time, in order to improve the appreciation of potted plants, we can also spread a layer of perlite or small stones on the potted surface, which can also prevent silt from seeping when adding water.
