Therefore, koi imported from Japan should be quarantined for 30 days in the designated isolation field on the above list, sampled by the supervision, inspection and quarantine department under appropriate water temperature conditions, and sampled and tested according to the annual aquatic animal monitoring plan.

The Japanese koi that have passed the inspection and quarantine shall enter the designated farms and go through at least one monitoring cycle with appropriate natural water temperature to allow production and sale after passing the surveillance of koi herpesvirus disease and carp spring virus disease.

Note: it should be noted that the above "allowed entry" is aimed at traditional general trade channels, such as personal carrying, mailing and cross-border e-commerce. Still comply with the provisions of the list of animals, plants and their products prohibited by the people's Republic of China.
