Last Updated: 2024/11/05, What are the preventive methods of brocade carp disease in spring? If we want koi not to get sick, we must maintain the water quality of koi. Most common diseases of koi are caused by water quality. Suitable for koi culture water quality environment: the best water temperature is 2325 ℃, the acid and alkali of water quality.

In culture, we should follow the principle of "no disease first prevention, early treatment of disease, prevention is more important than treatment", and pay attention to improving the aquaculture water environment in order to eliminate the source of disease, cut off the route of transmission and improve the disease resistance of fish.

1. Disinfect fish ponds and cylinders: clean and disinfect them regularly. For disinfection, soak the fish tank or fish pond with 2ppm potassium permanganate solution for about 5 minutes, then rinse with clean water, and soak with clean water for a long time before use.

2. Water disinfection: whether in the aquarium or in the fish pond, after raising koi for a period of time, a lot of organic matter and suspended particles will be accumulated, resulting in the deterioration of water quality and the increase of pathogens. Therefore, the water body must be disinfected regularly, especially in the fish disease epidemic season. At present, the commonly used disinfectants are bleach powder (1ppm) and insecticide 0.2ppm.

3. Fish disinfection: newly purchased koi may carry some bacteria and parasites, which, if not removed in time, will infect other healthy fish. Therefore, the new fish should be isolated by medicine bath before they can be put into the culture water. The specific method is to bathe the fish with 5% salt water for 5 minutes for 10 minutes. When taking a medicine bath, you should pay attention to observe the state of koi at any time. If you have floating head, dyspnea, asphyxiation, loss of balance, shock and other phenomena, you should immediately stop the medicine bath and put the fish back into the pool water.

4, tool disinfection: all the tools used in fish culture, such as net, ladle, filter, etc., need to be cleaned, disinfected and dried regularly. The easiest way is to scald it with boiling water or expose it to the sun. Should not use high temperature or exposure disinfection equipment, can use fish tank disinfection method for immersion disinfection.

5, bait hygiene: fresh bait should be washed repeatedly, wash off impurities, keep fresh, freeze if necessary, and store artificial bait in a dry and ventilated place to prevent mildew and deterioration.

6. Cut off the route of infection: the koi found to be suffering from infectious diseases should be fished out in time and treated alone to avoid large-scale infection, and the original pond should also be disinfected. Tools used by diseased fish should not be given to healthy fish to avoid cross-infection. In addition, the breeding density is too high, the water quality is muddy, and koi is also easy to get sick.
