1. Courtyard culture pond

(1) the courtyard culture of koi generally uses square, rectangular or round cement land, and the culture pond can be built in the open space or roof of the courtyard.

(2) it should be convenient for drainage, sewage discharge, ventilation to the sun, sufficient water source, convenient water supply and drainage, and land construction close to the house, which is conducive to viewing and daily management.

(3) the specification of courtyard culture pond is generally 1540 m ², the water depth is 1.2-2.5 m, and the water body should not be too shallow, otherwise the water temperature is easily affected by weather and other environmental factors, which is disadvantageous to the health of koi.

two。 Collocation of breeding breeds

According to the visual effect, it is usually dominated by one or more varieties of red and white koi, Dazheng tricolor koi and Showa koi.

Match with other brightly colored varieties, such as golden koi, platinum koi, light yellow koi, white koi, autumn koi and so on.

3. Feeding and management

Feed feeding: the koi raised in the courtyard had better be fed with artificial compound feed with natural coloring substances.

Feed feeding should follow the principle of "four determinations", that is, "quantity", "timing", "quality" and "orientation".

Treatment of oil film on the water surface: sometimes a layer of oil film or foam appears on the surface of the culture pond, which is not beneficial to the growth of koi, usually using the oil film remover sold in the market or all the water change and brushing.

4. Management in different seasons

Spring: the air temperature is unstable, to ensure the stability of water temperature, we should also pay attention to the disinfection of breeding ponds to prevent the spread of disease.

Summer: the air temperature is higher to prevent the water temperature from rising; to prevent a large number of reproduction and growth of aquatic phytoplankton, it is best to install ultraviolet germicidal lamps in the culture pond to maintain good water quality.

Autumn: autumn is high and crisp, and it is the best season for koi to grow. Feed should be given more so that koi can store its physical strength and survive the winter safely.

Winter: the weather is cold, the temperature drops, the water temperature also drops, sometimes close to the freezing point, koi can survive the winter safely outside.
