Cotton is a very special food in our life, and it is the main raw material of various textiles. The planting area in our country is very large. Cotton is a necessity for us, so more and more people grow it. However, cotton can not be planted everywhere, because cotton growth has certain requirements for environmental conditions. Today's small series brings you the growing environment of cotton. Let's take a look at it together!

1. Light

Cotton growth on the light demand is very large, when planting cotton must ensure that there is sufficient light. When the illumination time is long and the intensity is suitable, the cotton yield is high and the quality is good. If the light is insufficient, it will not only reduce the yield and quality, but also have a great impact on the subsequent seed retention work. Therefore, when we plant cotton, we should choose the planting plot in a place with sufficient light. Then according to the growth stage of cotton reasonable control of light, cotton photosynthesis will therefore improve, increase photosynthetic substances in the plant.

2. Water

Water is also an indispensable environmental condition for planting cotton. Cotton will change its demand for water with the growth stage during its growth. During the period of non-emergence, the soil moisture content should be maintained at about 75%. The soil moisture content within 40cm of seedling stage should be maintained at about 65%, and increased appropriately by 5% after entering the early stage of flower bud. And then in full bloom and boll opening period when about 70%, cotton in the growth of water consumption has a large part for transpiration. Therefore, we must ensure that there is sufficient water around to meet the water needs of cotton growth.

3. Soil

Although cotton's requirements for soil are not very strict, because cotton needs nutrients and moisture from the soil during growth, and part of the air is also obtained from the soil. Therefore, we should also ensure the quality of soil. In the process of planting, the physical and chemical properties of soil directly affect the growth of cotton. Both yield and quality will be greatly affected. Therefore, when selecting soil, we should pay attention to comprehensive consideration from moisture, temperature, PH value and other aspects to create a good growth environment for cotton.

4. Heat

Heat can also have a greater impact on cotton growth. Especially in the early and late stages of cotton growth, it is most sensitive to changes in heat. Cotton in the seedling time after sowing generally takes 1-3 weeks, this time the accumulated temperature requirements in about 300 degrees. After sowing, when the temperature is about 20 degrees, it can emerge in one week. If the temperature is unstable, it may take about 3 weeks. In the later stage, heat will not only affect the yield, but also cause great harm to the quality of cotton, so we must pay more attention when planting.

The above is a brief introduction to the cotton growing environment. Cotton growth environment is very important, and planting benefits are closely related, so we must pay more attention to planting. Today's introduction is here, this article is for reference only, I hope to help everyone oh!
