Growing cotton has its unique way of growing, because cotton is the main raw material for cloth production, and it is widely used in daily life. Cotton needs to be kept white, dry, disease-free and soft. Therefore, in the production and planting, we must pay attention to some specific management measures to ensure quality, specific need to pay attention to what, please take a look at the content.

1. Drip irrigation

The high temperature stops growing in summer. At this time, it is necessary to carry out timely drip irrigation to ensure that the cotton buds do not fall off, drip irrigation every five days in July, until each irrigation is wet, from August to September, drip irrigation every other week to maintain 50% water content, cotton is easy to elder if the humidity is too high.

2. Fertilization

Fertilization is mainly in the bud stage, which is the main period of plant growth, apply more fertilizer to the weak cotton seedlings to catch up with other growth progress; do not miss nitrogen fertilizer, it will grow; about 50% nitrogen fertilizer, 20% phosphate fertilizer and 30% potash fertilizer. Urea and potassium dihydrogen phosphate can be applied; cotton must need a certain amount of boron fertilizer, so it can be replenished appropriately.

3. Prevention of aging

The main characteristics of premature senility are the shallow distribution of roots, slender stems, red spots on some leaves, yellowing of leaves and brown roots. Maintain the suitable water content needed in each period; spray pesticides as little as possible to avoid drug damage; foliar spraying trace element fertilizer to avoid cotton deficiency; in the later stage, the parietal leaf is enlarged and elongated, the space is closed, and some old leaves need to be removed to improve the environment, ventilation and light.

4. Weeding

Weeds are unearthed soon in spring, herbicides can be used for those with weak roots, and those with strong roots can be pulled out directly. Weeds flourish in summer. Pluck them manually in time. Don't leave them until autumn to prevent seeds from falling. Avoid competing for water and nutrients.

5. Pest control

Cotton pests are mainly cotton aphids and red spiders, generally spraying pesticides, using several different pesticides alternately. To avoid the emergence of drug resistance, it is necessary to continuously increase the dose to cause drug damage to cotton. General use of prevention and control, comprehensive spraying. Pesticides must be sprayed on sunny afternoons or cloudy days in order to be effective.

In fact, the problems that need to be paid attention to in planting cotton are related to the actual growth of cotton, mainly what I have introduced to you above, but in real production, because of different environment, varieties and other factors, the things that need to be paid attention to will be different. You can pay attention to it.
