Buckwheat originated in China and has been cultivated for more than two thousand years. Is a short-term crop, short growth period, not resistant to high temperature, afraid of frost, cultivated in most areas. The most important planting technology of buckwheat is fertilization management, and application is the best way to assist growth. At the same time, fertilizer control is the best way to control growth. Well, today we would also like to introduce how to control the fertilization of buckwheat.

First, the goal of fertilizer demand

Before sowing, seed germination needs most nutrients like most crops, and base fertilizer can also improve the fertility of sowing soil and change the structural layer, so base fertilizer is the most important for buckwheat. Because of the short growth period, buckwheat grows fast and needs more nutrients, so topdressing is necessary, mainly applying phosphorus and potassium fertilizer and less nitrogen fertilizer, mainly for strong stalks and strong seeds.

II. Applying basic fertilizer

Before sowing, base fertilizer was mainly applied in the 20 cm tillage layer according to the root distribution of buckwheat. First turn the soil deep before fertilization, then rotary tillage will loosen and fine the soil, and then sprinkle the whole field with farm manure, and to mix the fertilizer with the soil, you can pour water once, and then cover a layer of topsoil. Finally sow the seeds and cover the soil. The main application of basic fertilizer is about 400 jin per mu. Can also be applied to calcium superphosphate and other chemical fertilizer to do base fertilizer, the effect is fast, but not as long as farm manure.

3. Topdressing fertilization

Topdressing can be applied according to different climate, environment, geographical conditions and growth conditions. Generally speaking, if it is not applied on rainy days, it is predicted that it will not be applied even if it rains a few days later, so it is easy to wash out the fertilizer. Sunny afternoon topdressing is the best, high temperature and hot fertilization to increase body fluid concentration, easy to lose water and wither. Or topdressing on cloudy days is the most beneficial to absorption. Of course, you can spray fat on the page on a cloudy day. Low temperature can be suitable for topdressing, heat preservation and root maintenance. The application of compound fertilizer in the early stage is beneficial to the growth of stems and leaves. In the later stage, the main application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, calcium fertilizer, trace element fertilizer to strengthen, increase the seed setting rate and avoid empty shell. Each topdressing is about 12 jin per mu.

IV. Trace elements

The soil originally contains some trace elements needed by buckwheat, but it may be due to crop rotation or has been absorbed. Or maybe there isn't. Buckwheat itself needs certain trace elements, when missing, the plant will have yellowing, empty shell and other reactions, so it is necessary to supplement boron, copper and other fertilizers in real time.

Although the growth time of buckwheat is short, the fertilization during its growth period can not be careless, and growers need to pay attention to it. Generally, if we do the above fertilization well, we can promote the crop to grow well, improve the lodging resistance and increase the yield.
